What about the one with that lady named Bucket? Is it "Keeping up Appearances"?

Tough choices, especially since I haven't seen half of them. Voted for the Young Ones (brings back fond memories of college) but Black Adder and Faulty Towers were very close behind. What about The Flying Circus? Not really a sit com, but ......

I voted Fawlty Towers - shone brightly, albeit briefly. Some of the others got a bit samey as time went on, but that's the proce of longevity. Red Dwarf and Fools and Horses did good jobs of staying fresh.
Nice to see the Vicar of Dibley getting a vote, even if it is from someone who never saw it :crazyeye:

Benny Hill, Mr. Bean?

Okay, now at least nobody will be laughing at me for AYBS anymore. ;)

AYBS

i voted for Dads Army because its my favorite one which i hevent been able to stop watch for 14 years

Fawlty Towers, closely followed by Blackadder, and Yes (Prime) Minister gets the bronze.

Thats an Irish comedy.

Well I know "Father Ted" takes place in Ireland, but I thought the BBC had created the show. Anyhow, i still like it the best!

It's in Northern Ireland doesn't it? That would qualify it as British.

(shakes head)

Some people will really go a long way to get an arguement going at this place.

Its set on an island down south, but phoenix_night is right, it was a collaboration of english and irish writers I think and was finianced and set up for British TV.

My mistake.

Yes. The indoor shots took place in London, others in Ireland, though the island itself was fictional I believe.

It was first advertised to Irish television companies, but rejected.

Hat trick productions produced it for Channel 4, a terrestrial UK television channel.

And it has nothing to do with Northern Ireland and it is not a BBC programme!

;)
