I only watch a youtube clip now and then, but I'd wager he is known/relevant as a kind of 21st century version of the middle-aged "everyman". At times he had very important quests (like Sir Roger Penrose) but typically has comics and pop-culture figures.

The best part... starting at 11:55. Harris traps him by mocking his rallies and Trump loses all grip on sanity.
I still cannot watch Trump ranting and raving like a lunatic about people eating dogs and cats without laughing hysterically.
He is old, he is insane, his mind is completely gone. He belongs in a nursing home, not on the debate stage.
