Planes. They have definantly revolutionized warfare. (one could also argue for the ancient guns but I don't know enough about them to judge)

Why drugs? My reasoning is simple- teeth and nails are out so next comes club. Most people in stone age societies die in violent way from hands of fellow humans. Therefore one can say that club started it all, or rock. Withou club or rock, there would not be any missiles, tanks or fighter panes. And actually best military invention is peace.

The Central Asian Compound Bow (I voted 'Other'). It only became bested in the 19th Century (due to some rifle) after being in use of warfare and hunting for over 20,000 years. With this, although having smaller population and industrial capacity, the Turks, Huns, Xiong-Nu, Mongols, Sogdians, Massagetae, Turgish, etc. were able to dominate several eras and areas for centuries.

The machine gun is what revolutionised modern warfare. Without it the trench warfare of WW1 would never have taken place. The European colonization of Africa would have been alot harder, if not impossible, planes would be less useful seeing as you need to fire alot of rounds in order to hit anything with it. If not for the machine gun the world today could, and most likely would, be alot different.
