Ok. So there's a thread about the best flying circus scene. Now you can vote on your favourite movie.I'll vote for Life of Brian.Anything with Jesus is funny.
Was 'And now for something completely different' a movie or not?

Although I haven't seen any of their movies, I know what type of humor they are. I like it.

(P.S. George Harrison funded 'Life of Brian')

The Life of Brian had great potential, but Life of Brian went 100 percent straight downhill into unwatchable stupidity the moment Brain that had been abducted by aliens. I have no idea why Monty Python went to such elaborate lengths to ruin their own movie, but they nevertheless found the resolve. The Meaning of Life is better than the Life of Brian, and perhaps a bit more profound, but the Holy Grail will always be way more funny than both movies.

The alien ship was a bit stupid. There were a few funny bits after though. The song at the end is good.

Life of Brian is good, good, good. "What has the romans ever done for us".

I voted Life of Brian. I like the alien bit as well, they had to give Terry Gilliam something to do apart from the credits so that was why that bit was in.

You forgot "And now for something completely different..." and "Live at the Hollywood Bowl" too.

Brian. The babe they called 'Brian',
He grew,... grew, grew, and grew--
Grew up to be-- grew up to be
A boy called 'Brian'--
A boy called 'Brian'.
He had arms... and legs... and hands... and feet,
This boy... whose name was 'Brian',
And he grew,... grew, grew, and grew--
Grew up to be--

Yes, he grew up to be
A teenager called 'Brian'--
A teenager called 'Brian',
And his face became spotty.
Yes, his face became spotty,
And his voice dropped down low
And things started to grow
On young Brian and show
He was certainly no--
No girl named 'Brian',
Not a girl named 'Brian'.

And he started to shave
And have one off the wrist
And want to see girls
And go out and get pissed,
A man called 'Brian'--
This man called 'Brian'--
The man they called 'Brian'--
This man called 'Brian'!

^^ Getting Shirley Bassey to sing that was a stroke of genius as well.

I've only seen part of Life of Brian, and didn't find it very funny, so none of the poll options really apply.

:rotfl:

Alien abduction = unwatchable stupidity...

...on the other hand...

Killer Rabbits in Holy Grail way more funny than aliens.

You rock.

The point was that there was a very obvious way for Brian to escape: he could pretend to be a carpenter.
But he didn't. Monty Python chose the less obvious way for Brian to escape. That was the joke.

Meaning of Life is my favourite.

My favourite scene from any of the films is Constitutional Peasants from the Holy Grail.

And FWIW, the alien abduction scene is bloody hilarious. It's there to intentionally throw the whole thing off. That's why it's funny.

Crap misvoted, wanted to say the Holy Grail.
