Now I'm disappointed. That thread title made it seem as if you were going to post a link to the best movie car chase ever.

Simply because nothing is coming to my head I will say that their are none good enough to even be worth remembering :D

/Edit: From that list I remember The Bourne Supremacy being pretty sweet.

Nope. A poll. I apologize. If you want to see the greatest car chase ever, rent Ronin.

I haven't seen most of those movies, but that won't stop me from voting for...

Blues Brothers! [pimp]

Bullitt. The first of the great, modern car chases. Elegant in its simplicity, nothing that defies the law of gravity, just serious speed through the streets of San Francisco. Every time the movie shows up on the satellite, I switch over to watch the chase.

There's such a thing as a good car chase?

edit: I like car/motorcycle/whatever chases in Jackie Chan movies; there's enough silliness and sheer athleticism in them to make them entertaining. Most just bore me to tears, though; if it wasn't for the screeching-tires sound effect I'd fall asleep.

The "World's Wildest Police Videos"-style TV shows have the best chases of them all.
There's an inherently scary quality to those chases, because they could be happening on the very same roads you drive on.....

I want to watch Bullitt. My father keeps raving about it since he saw the new Ford Mustang commercial.

The French Connection. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't seen the film.

Matrix: Reloaded.

Agree with Bullit & Ronin, serious car-chases, real action, lots of power. Taxi is good too, but somehow less real.

Nevermind, my vote goes to... Blues Brothers!!! never seen anything like it.
