Best Series

Mario, Sonic, Link, such beloved characters... So which video/computer/arcade game series is the best?

Note: To be considered a series, it must have at least three games.

Edit: The reason I don't want anyone voting for Civilization is because if I included it it would probably win by a longshot.

Adventure game-wise, I'd have to say Myst or Monkey Island.

Edit: Never mind, Metal Gear Solid's series is only two games (plus expansions) anyway.

Its actually more than two if you count the originals that came before the psone version.

I would have to go with the ff series. Apart from civ, its the only series I've really played lots.

Tough call, I voted other because of Dragon Warrior serires but could've been Zelda, depends on the day.

I'm partial to the Thief and System Shock series. This was real innovation in terms of gameplay and adding new elements. Comparing the claustrophobic insanity and intense survival feeling of System Shock 2 to anything else is impossible. This may have been a one off. Only Deus Ex had the same kind of gameplay where you were totally immersed in the game.

Simcity, GTA, Zelda, X-Com,Command & Conquer, Warcraft, and Railroad Tycoon. But I voted Zelda cause that brings back memories of playing it on the first nintendo.

Wasn't sure what you ment by Star Wars though, they go so many.
