Best "Super Mario" Game

Each Nintendo console has always had at least one great Mario platformer. Which one is your favorite?

Mario 64 would probably be my favorite. The 3 Mario Bros. games are right up there, and so is Mario World. Haven't played Galaxy enough yet.

This is pretty tough. Either 64 or World would be first, closely followed by SMB3.

I concur. I voted for the NES series based solely on the strength of Super Mario 3. But Super Mario World and Mario 64 were both better than 1, 2, and Lost Levels, so it feels a little wrong to vote for the NES series as a whole.

Super Mario 64 by a very small margin over SM World and Galaxy. I found SM 64 to be the most fun and it was a revolutionary game for 3d platformers.

I prefered Super Mario 64 DS better thant he original SM64. Just seemed a more refined game

The DS one was a more rounded game, but I found the controls somewhat awkward. I kind of missed having a joystick.

To my surprise, Super Mario Galaxy is my new definition of crack. It's the best Mario game ever in my opinion. I know some people like to stay loyal, and at first I was, but SMG is really great.

Super Mario Sunshine is the worse in my opinion. I actually almost consider it to be a bad game.

actually my computers been broken for nearly a week so that SNES is begining to look good... not to mention I have Mortal Kombat and Spawn waiting along with the Plumber

SMS may be terrible compared to SM64 or SMG, but it still made IGN's top 25 GCN games list as #8 or 9. But Gamespot rated even Rayman 3 higher than SMS.

And Super Mario 64 is the only one I've played significantly, so that gets my vote without a doubt.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is mine

I remember playing it on SNES (The All-Stars version) about 10 years ago, that's a classic... Why did I sell it after buying PSX?

And, well, I have not completed it after the first try on 24 Dec '97... I decided to completed it on 24 Dec '07, but my comp crashed a day before and I was not able to play it.
