It is - they're not closely entwined with corrupt/lobbyist corporations supported by a politically strangling national philosophy of hating the state on your lawn. :/ Well, at least colorfully put. I know the situation isn't as bad as one could make it out to be, but it sure as hell could be better. If I lived in America, I would really have an issue with my vote, because while parties may have interests releasing themselves from the private giants, the hold is just that damn tight. How is one able to trust big government as a leftie if it only works to help the private enterprises?
EDIT: Some stuff was incoherent, wrong or unnecessary, so I edited this whole thing heavily, and it's still not done. Forget to reply to the above paragraph, but rather my point, which is:
I personally wouldn't prefer any poweful private enterprise over a powerful state. And that reason simply being that you can't vote CEOs out of office.
