Blackened Skies

I don't think I can handle playing Mexico anymore, too frustrating for me. I'm not done with BLS yet, but I would like to join an easier and less frustrating nation, if that is ok with the GMs.

Edit: disregard my previous post please. I am frustrated, but I want to give one or two more turns before I disregard Mexico as a lost cause

Sure! Greece is currently under the rule of the Hellenic Republic. But do not let the "Republic" name fool you! While its a small state, it represses with the best of them, and it is ruled by a clique of military and economic elites resembling an aristocracy.

It is very closely aligned with Russia, and is at war with Italy. It is historically hostile to Turkey, but with Turkey at war with Italy as well, both states are putting their rivalry aside.

Well, then, it should be easy to make a change in power.

OOC: Greece is an ally of Russia (me) and at war with Italy.

i will honor our existing agreements, obviously, but, well, you probably shouldn't expect me to do much. sorry.

OOC ANNOUNCEMENT - There was a big bug in the stats that is now fixed; everyone's IC should now be correct (and much higher than before). Also, the pricing tables have been updated to describe the total cost of each nation's IC pool, which, if the IC can be considered the gross output, the total cost of IC is the gross national product. For reference, GDP has also been added.

The GNP Private Sector and GNP Public Sector represent the total cost in EP of buying all the ICs in that sector. If your EP is LESS than the GNP Public Sector, that extra IC is being wasted! Reduce your mobilization or raise taxes to fix this.

I decided to model your economic union by annexing their economies to yours. If that's not what you intended or if you would actually prefer them to be member states of the Commonwealth, I can add them back in.

I don't have a say in the matter of annexing or not annexing Denmark and Norway, but OTL European Union also shares currency, but consists of allied independent countries.

If it's easier for you, just leave it as is. I don't particularly mind either way, I just wanted to make sure they weren't omitted.

I wouldn't exactly call any of the relevant countries mentioned to be independent at this juncture

Oh, so now UK as a bulwark into Europe? I'm sure that...certain countries would be interested by this fact. Indeed...

Yay democrazy is dying with the last major Liberal Nation falling apart.
And now I also have a player controlled Greece.
Sorry to tell you, but I'll rather take all of Grecce with me into the Abyss before giving them anything, just as a warning.

OOC:
1. You're a military dictatorship if I read the stats right.
2. major, important nations, whos fleet is not in danger of sinking the moment it starts to rain.
3. Anybody who wants to make jokes about the Italian navy now, ask the Citizien of Toulon andd Marseille and the French Med fleet what they think about it

More of an emergency state while the Bolivian war lasted. Since it's over, very soon, a shift back to democracy will occur.

mfw can influence most South American politics now
>not major

Brazil is also liberal ish.

Fighting a rebellion can absolutely be frustrating! If you're looking for an easier nation without as many internal issues, Morocco, Korea, The Democratic Republic of Central America, Persia, and Ethiopia are all available.

TREATY OF SANTA FE

On this battleground, where Bolivians, Chileans and Argentinians alike shed blood, one for sustaining a dying monarchy, and another, fighting for the freedom of Man, and his Dignity as such, a peace that will resound in the decades and centuries to come, will be now signed.

  1. Bolivia will begin immediately the process of freeing the nationstates it had occupied in the past decades: Amazonas, Peru, Paraguay, Amazonas, Ecuador, and all other that may have not been mentioned. In these countries, free and democratic elections are to be instituted at once as this treaty is ratified.
  2. Any former lands taken away from Chile/Argentina will be rightfully returned.
  3. Furthermore, Bolivia will shed away its monarchy, strip any and all nobles of their titles and lands. Additionally, the nobles will be exiled to Great Zhao, with the agreement of the Emperor, on the condition that they do not leave under any circumstances the Chinese territory. The army will be also cleansed of any and all Royalist officers. Any attempts to restore the monarchy will be dealt swiftly with.
  4. Naturally, Bolivia will become part of the grand family of South American democracies, and we'll help them with anything to establish a new democracy, which will forge a new, democratic future.
  5. For a period of five years, Bolivia will be kept under strict watch by the Argentine authorities, to ensure that democracy isn't perverted by any socialist or fascist movements.
  6. The newly-elected Bolivian government shall avow to cut any connections with Americans beyond trade.
  7. The Bolivian Army will demobilise and retain only a defensive function. Furthermore, the so-so called Grande Bolivare tactic will be suspended, and instead, switched to Police Tactics, to ensure peace and stability within the land.
  8. The newly-established Bolivian government would give up on its claims on territories that are now part of the nationstates mentioned in point 1.

Signed, President Jeanne Marco.

Also, on another note. We've received...rather amusing, really, worries that the Argentine government has become a junta. We scoff at that, and would like to reassure people, that normalcy will return at once, for that I, President Jeanne Marco will step down once this treaty is ratified. But before that, I shall restore universal suffrage, and establish a new organisation for greater South American cooperation.

The Great Zhao will also welcome Bolivian officers on the condition they do not entertain notions about their loyalties being divided. Frankly speaking, their expertise would be welcome, especially considering France has decided to go against its word and escalate instead of ending the conflict.

So long as you stop committing atrocities in Thailand, I guess that would work. But the same conditions would apply to those officers; doubly so, in fact. We'd like that if possible, none of the royals/pro-royalists ever steps foot in South America again.

its just a few islands with no real resources, and a disloyal population. giving them up to preserve the rest of Italy is a good choice.

but if you want to go into the abyss, we would gladly help you into it.
