Germany invades the Soviet Union!!

World War II was the largest conflict in the history of mankind. The war was fought over millions of square miles on the ground, in the air, on and under the sea, and with the development of the German V-2 missile, at the very fringes of outer space. Men and women fought in the streets of the great cities of Europe, the arctic wastelands of Finland, the unexplored jungles of Southeast Asia, the brutal deserts of Africa, the towering peaks of the Himalayas. Not even the United States, protected by two vast oceans was secure. German U-Boats sunk hundreds of ships within sight of the U.S. and Canadian coasts and the Japanese managed to gain a temporary foothold in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. People from nearly every nation on earth served in some capacity, as soldiers, sailors, relief workers, medics or nurses. For five years, the vast majority of the worlds’ industrial capacity was used to make the implements of war.

It starts in June 1941 with the invasion of the Soviet Union. The scenario is specially designed for multiplayer games.

Changes from the prev version:
* Removed all Tank Defenses and raised the cost of them. This is to make better use of the tanks. Only China have Tank Defenses in most of their cities.
* Nearly all tanks have better attacks.
* Raised the attack of inf. divisions.
* Removed the KV-1. Instead the Soviets have a new and cheaper tank. Simply called Light Tank. They have more tanks due to this since the attack is slithlty reduced. The Chinese have the same tank and have a few from start.
* Improved the defense in some Russian cities.
* Slightly increased the Red Airforce.
* Strengtened the defense of China.
* Japan got two more inf. divisions.
* Knocked out Okhotsk and created Magedan in Soviet Far East.
* Minor changes on the infrastructure here and there
* Reduced the amount of trade recived from oil field and industrial areas.
* Removed the 'Smolensk event'.
* Now each turn is two weeks.
* Submarine stat changed around so that it is less good but much cheaper.

Thanks! Nice to see that, despite the predominance of Civ3 these days, people are still making stirling efforts in Civ2 scenario building. I'll test your work out ASAP.
 
It's primarely a MP scenario, so don't expect too much in SP :) . But thanks anyway! :)
 
Obviously it was not as finished as I hoped it was . I just noticed an idiotic error. When I made the update I sold off some improvements here and there, but I forgot to change the money situation .

So please overwrite your already existing blitzkrieg.scn and blitzkrieg.txt files with the attaced files. The main file has been updated for new downloaders.

Idiot mistake !

Sorry, but very important changes has been made!
 
The main files in post nr#1 is updated. After the PBEM playtest of the scenario, the improved released version (this one) had some beta problems, but they are mostly solved now I guess :)

Tell me if you come over any strange things, please! :)
 
Oooh, just remebered a bug!

For some reason when the Axis capture Benghazi in this scenario they get 2340 gold, even though #1: The Commonwealth doesn't have more than 300 gold at the beginning, and #2: There are no events that would say such a thing.

Is it intended for multiplayer Gold, Test of Time, or both?
 
Right... no wonder I couldn't run it before! Let's see if Angelo Scotto's scenario converter can make it ToT compatible.
