I've been recoloring some older units, so I thought I'd release them in case if anyone else wants to use them.

1. Republic Assault Ship (TheMorpheus)
https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/starwars-unit-republic-assault-ship.88358/

Original unit had civ-colored lasers. I recolored it so that it has a consistent color, rather than grey/brown/pine green lasers.

Included are:
Blue Lasers
Red Lasers
Green Lasers
Violet Lasers
Yellow Lasers

2. Imperial Star Destroyer (jobiwan7)
https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/star-wars-imperial-star-destroyer-12-29-05.150789/

Original unit had lightly tinted civ-colored lasers (except for blue player) because of a palette error. I recolored it so that it has a consistent color, rather than grey/brown/pine green lasers.

Included are:
Blue Lasers
Red Lasers
Green Lasers
Violet Lasers
Yellow Lasers

3. UFO (Kinboat)
https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/new-unit-ufo.21433/

Original unit had civ colored lasers. Recolored them with consistent colors

Included are:
Blue Lasers
Red Lasers
Green Lasers
VIolet Lasers
Yellow Lasers

Ordinarily, I'd post previews, but I haven't been able to find a good way to show them without them looking terrible from the flc2gif program. Can someone point me to how they create their gifs?

EDIT: Well, I found a way using an online program, but I'd like to avoid doing that in the future, if only because online programs are not always an option.

Excellent! :goodjob:

I don't know of a free (reputable) offline program that can reasonably convert FLC to GIF besides the one released here on CFC oh so long ago. There's reaConverter but it would cost $50 for access to what you need from it.

You can try looking through the entries on Softpedia. I've personally had poor luck with programs from this site. At a glance most on this list aren't even applicable. Total Video Converter might work... assuming it can convert from FLC to GIF.

I know that these are not Star Trek units, but for some reason this reminds me that in Star Trek the phaser colour matches the blood colour of that race.

I was watching a battle on the Enterprise Series and I noticed:
Andorians blue blood and blue phaser fire.
Vulcans green blood and green phaser fire.
Humans red blood and red phaser fire.

Maybe they are fired through a crystal made of blood:)

@Vincour, I don't need a flc to gif directly, as flcs are probably a bit too niche. Making a stack of single images or a storyboard to a gif is good enough (although storyboard is preferable).

@Wotan49, took a look at the jasac animation shop. Tried installing it, and it seems like it is not compatible with 64 bit.

@Pounder, apparently the Star Trek universe has civ specific lasers?
But regardless, the main motivation I had (other than avoiding murky colored lasers) was to increase the number of space ships that have the same overall shape (rather than hopping from Star Trek ships to Star Wars ships to Stargate ships, etc.), but you can clearly use for weapons upgrade, sort of stealing from Stellaris.

Red lasers -> Blue lasers -> X-Ray lasers -> Gamma ray lasers

Bluemofia... You can use Jasc Animation Shop on your 64 bit computer. Simply install it and it should be installed by default to you Programs Files (x86) Folder.
After installation, Right click the Icon on your Desktop and choose Properties... then place a Check Mark next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP [Service Pack 2]
