Board Game Recommendations for Civilization Lover?

Civ I and Civ II have stood the test of time and remained my favorite computer games of all time (despite lackluster AI and some flaws and limitations I found irksome).

Given that, what board games do you think I would like the most?

I've heard mixed reviews about the Civilization board game (I think there are two versions). Any other ideas?
