how come it cost more to have em shipped to canada from a website than it does to go to the store /

ie. bb.com has whey for 25bucks for 5lbs but it cost 11 bucks for shipping and 7$ gst and customs 25%=59 bucks

and when i went to the store it cost me 45 and 4 bucks for gst==49 bucks total

You kind of answered your own question: customs and shipping costs more for the consumer than it does for the retailer who gets bulk discounts.

thanks, but it still doesnt help when i pay 80 bucks for 10lbs of stuff and the americans get 25lbs

Well if you want if you can find someone in the US willing to be your front man. I'm too lazy sorry.

Whey is a rip off anyway. There's nothing whey does for you that regular protein consumption doesn't. This 'rushing amino acids' into the blood doesn't help. Your cells take up the amino acids they need, so as long as your system is 'topped up', there's no point over filling. IT DOESN'T HELP.

Slow digesting protein a couple hours before you work out, and slow digesting carbs after you work out. That's the way to go.

Agreed. You can always adjust your diet and save a few bucks.

But if that's not an option, why order online? Your local GNC or equivelant health food store is cheaper. For that matter I've seen department stores start to carry whey.

well for my primary protein source i eat tuna fish but the problem is i dont feel like eating 2 cans a day(yes i get protein from other sources too)

and also what type of protein and from what maker is good then ?
