Boff-05 Izzy Wizzy was unBearable (Izzy,Emp,Cont/Is)

Meh. Not a huge fan of vassals as they are annoying. Although everyone hates us already so it wouldn't be a big deal.

DE, do you want to grab the save or should I? It's probably mop up mode now, with putting out a fleet that can crush the enemy.

opps. well to be honest, the only civ worth vassalizing is England hehehe if only because it's a total pita to track down all those islands.

Whatever, this game is in total mop up, why bother with yearning unhappy when we can just wipe civs out and colonize their holdings.

Cheers!
-Liq

Gogo Silver mob-up

I am trying to phase out my SGing and getting my things packed for Turkey :cooool:

Heading to Turkey eh, I am heading to Russia and Europe for 3 1/2 months... In early May, I hope to follow one more Boffo before I go for my fix....

hurry up guys......gogo mop up!

I am surprised you haven't taken any vassals, since the border becomes safe, and I would think it makes it easier to just win via domination no?

Well diplomatic issues were rail thin when we were attacking zara and hanni so vassalizing them would have tipped England to less than pleased when we needed the secure border. The fact that both hanni and zara are good friends of England is far worse as vassalizing either would have incured grievous dip penalties.

Alex wasn't an option to vassal because his culture and yearning is killing Athens(the other towns don;t matter), a really sweet town once it can control its BFC. I asked for Knossos in the peace but the effer wouldn't take it.

Next target is alex again btw. Only sued for peace the first time because we had a mom enhanced Golden age to pop and we needed transports active. The only civs to have a realistic chance of using galleons for a real island fight are rags for the uber lighthouse and joao for his UU.

Silver was supposed to spend his 20ish turns making transports and dessies for Grover but what started as sarcasm ended in Something Along these lines...

Liq said:
4:24 PM:Omg, we have Airships!!!!!! Airships are soooo cool. Build Lots n Lots so we can uber scout wang.. er...

Silver said:
8:10 PM: I built like nothing except MGs and airships. No we don't have enough troops :p

Not to mention Silver took the scenic route though the tech tree...

So Grover has a chance to play with MASSED blimps again as he can watch the fun over around Dover... sorry, no Wang included!

Need an auto recon command for blimps...

Cheers!

I never realized there were huge penalties for taking a vassal. I just assumed the vassal might cause problems down the road by antagonizing someone. this is a great tip for me as I usually try to vassal when I get the chance.

If taking on a vassal, do you need to protect the vassals borders, or are you safe enough to leave token garrison and let your vassal look after his own cities? Thats the only military weakness I see from them? Or an I wrong again?

How the hell have I been winning on Monarch if I don't know as much as I thought I did?

1780AD (400):

Preflight check. So game is in mop up mode, so just going to zoom through the cities quickly to inspect them. I guess we are gearing up for war with whichever one of our worst enemies comes knocking first, lolz :p. Only going to type something if a city has a problem.

Well, get Santiago growing again. SoL is in 4 and it doesn't seem to matter if I set the city for best growth, so do that.

Leptis has a bunch of citizen specs for some reason, so hire a priest and a scientist, and send one to the incense plantation.

Gondar is building a bank, and I remember canceling it my last time up after it got blown up by a spy (as we don't need a bank here anyways). Ok, well cancel it again and dial up a Colosseum. I note we got pillaged here too, so going to find the worker army to deal with it.

Athens needs more troops to kill the riot chance, will try to round some up...

Argos is building a lighthouse despite the fact that Alex owns all our water tiles here. Dial up a Temple instead.

Unstagnant Thebes as it has it's BFC back. Army is here, so going to grab it and move some back to Athens. Revolt chance is now gone there.

Pharsalos wins the Moai award... Going to deal with that a bit later, as we are missing infrastructures.

And that appears to be it. Managed to cut Physics down to 4 turns by hiring random scientists, yay. Yeah, so whacking Enter...

1782AD (401):

We have lots of money apparently.

set8richestcivs.jpg

Yeah, so Zara drops below Alex on the score chart this turn, for giggles. And Saladin signs a DP with Zara.

Churchill wins a Great Artist in London, erk. Expecting a culture bomb in Nottingham soon. Oh and he gets hit by a hurricane too, lol.

Murcia finished with a Colosseum, seems we didn't need one, but whatever. Large overflow, so start a Monorail with it, lol. For fun. Since we can't build ships here.

Zaragoza finished a Tao temple. Seems we didn't have a Hindu one so dial that up.

Lalibela done with a Library. Ok. Hindu Temple for the culture.

Corinth done a jail and the stupid governor hired a spy in between turns, sigh... Dial a Hindu Temple. Yearning sucks.

1784AD (402):

Hannibal loses a city to Louis. Not sure if it was razed or what happened.

LOL! Churchill tried to culture bomb Nottingham. The cottage square that we own in his initial 8 went from 45% to 48% English. LMAO, what a kidder! :p

Valencia finished... something. I wasn't paying attention to be honest. Ok, well dialing up Destroyers now.

Pharsalos finished with a Granary, so get on to a Courthouse.

1786AD (403):

Spread Christ to Seville.

Mosque finished in Barc, so let's all point and laugh at Churchill's culture bomb, lol. Going to go for a spy hut before we do anything else to stop stuff from getting blown up here.

Zaragoza finished a Hin Temple, Uni next.

Gondar done a Colosseum, dial a 1 turn Christian Temple.

Aksum finished the Christian Missionary, so dial a University.

1788AD (404):

The French show up and want us to declare war on Carthage. Why do you need our help mate? Get lost mate, we don't need anyone to hate us any more than they do already, lol. Get's us Furious with France.

set8physics.jpg

set8sol.jpg

Santiago wins nukes underneath a mine. Valencia wins nukes underneath it's grass farm. And Barc kinda wins nukes, they are underneath the sign that says "New Crap Filler".

Issac Newton shows up in Madrid since we were first to Physics.

set8issacnewton.jpg

Biology bulb is 3550 beakers. Ok, we'll save him for that as this game is basically done, and the other effects are useless.

Dial up Flight in 8 turns. We have 7 more turns of Golden Age, so should be no problem.

Liq says we should get some air ships... because they are air ships! Ok, baffling, but S.ilver will do... Have 8 turns to mass build airships, lol.

Seville done a Grocer, and we dial an AIRSHIP!

Salamanca done a jail, going for an AIRSHIP!

Gondar done a Christian Temple, ok that's nice but we want AIRSHIPS!

1790AD (405):

Louis gets a Great General in Paris, so looking around for property damage to Hannibal. I don't see any, so not sure what's up.

My ears are assaulted by a chain of Hindu chants, as icons scrolled down the right side of my screen.

Cordoba finished a Security Buerau. AIRSHIPS!

Toledo also done a Security Bureau. More AIRSHIPS!

Santiago is done a jail. WTH 1 turn AIRSHIPS with 3 Military instructors training them.

Murcia finished Public Transport, going for another AIRSHIP!

Corinth done a Temple too, and the idiot governor hired another spy, ugh. Dial a Theatre.

Tartar finished a Courthouse, dial a Lighthouse.

Sparta done a Library I think. Dial a Hindu Temple.

Argos done a Hindu Temple, toss on a Library.

1792AD (406):

Churchill spams Birmingham somewhere...

Madrid finished with a Spy Hut. Madrid missing a monorail, but nothing else important, so dial an AIRSHIP!

Santiago finished an Airship and wow it has 8XP. Dial another one!

1794AD (407):

Tech visibility on everyone but Churchill this turn. Saladin on Mil Sci, and Ragnar on Rep Parts.

Seville done an Airship, and we can build one more here before Flight makes it obsolete!

Santiago keeps it up with 1 turn uber airships!

Murcia also dials another airship!

Valencia finished a Destroyer. Blasphemy! Dial an airship!

Kerkouane finished a Drydock. Can't build an airship in time, so dial a bank.

Gondar done an Airship, dial up another one!

Saladin goes into WHEOOH mode. Nice. We are 2.1 power ratio to Saladin. Ok.

Alex apparently has no land troops left, so he's harassing with Frigates.

set8alexfrigates.jpg

1796AD (408):

Doing random flybys with airships, because I'm bored.

Cordoba finished an Airship, and we can slot in one more!

Toledo also produced an Airship, so order up another!

Santiago Airships are the best! Order more!

Salamanca done an airship, but doesn't have enough time to produce another. We'll dial up a Drydock.

Pamplona finished a courthouse, dial a harbor.

Corinth finished a Theatre. Go for a Confused Temple.

Sparta done a Hindu Temple, dial a Theatre.

1798AD (409):

Louis gets around to completing the Temple of Solomon. Now??? WTH???

Madrid finishes an airship, so get on a Monorail.

Santiago Airship -> Airship.

Murcia done an airship and can barely squeeze one out next turn. Do so.

Gondar done an airship, and I MM it to finish a new one next turn, lol.

Tartar done a lighthouse, get a Theatre next.

1800AD (410):

Spy hunt done in Barc. Time to get on some Transports.

Seville finished it's last airship, so getting on an Observatory.

Cordoba finished an airship, so dial a monorail.

Toledo done an airship, get to dessies!

Santiago's airship is done, time to spam MGs!

Murcia also done an airship. Hmm, dial a Christian Temple.

Valencia finished an Airship, so dial up a Citadel so we can make some MGs here.

Gondar done an airship, let's get back to infra starting with a spy hut.

Flight next turn, and Golden Age ends too :(.

1802AD (411):

Golden Age ends and our gold drops from +124 to +33.

set8flight.jpg

Bio is 5 turns. Dial it up and use Issac Newton to bulb 3600 beakers. Now it's 3 turns. Win.

Santiago done an MG, so delete it's Crossbow. Dial another MG.

Pamplona done a harbor, dial a Hindu Temple.

Corinth done a Confused Temple. Uh Library next.

Tartar done a Theatre. Get a Library.

Sparta done a Theatre, go for a Confused Temple. Ugh, there are spies hired here too, god...

1804AD (412):

Barc done a Transport, sending it the long way around to Sparta. Going to blow up a mine at Gondar to make a Canal.

Santiago MG -> MG.

Murcia done a Christian Temple. Dial up an Airport.

Leptis finished a Harbor, dial a Theatre.

Thebes finished a Theatre, grr, we hired another spy. Dial a Hindu Temple.

Barc finished a Transport, obvious to get on another.

1806AD (413):

We win a Great Scientist in Carthage, whom I will sit on until next turn to see what he bulbs.

Santiago MG -> MG.

Zaragoza done a Uni. Grocer next.

Madir finished in Athens so throw on a Temple!

1808AD (414):

set8bio.jpg

We win some cash from a Gem mine.

set8gemminecash.jpg

Ok, so Great Scientist bulbs Electricity, which is not on our mind right now. Sending him to Madrid to chill.

Gogo convoluted Canals!

Spoiler :
set8canal.jpg

Barc Transport -> Transport

Salamanc done a Drydock, order a spy hut.

Utica finishes a Grocer. Eh, dial an observatory.

Pamp done... something... Not sure what, didn't look, lol. Dial a Theatre.

1810AD (415):

Ragnar demands Replaceable Parts! Well, we're not about to please a colony are we?

Saladin is teching Liberalism, lolz.

Finally finished that 1 tile island's lumbermill for Tartar, so Hannibal's "Contribution" is heading back home.

Madrid is done Monorails. Ok, cool get an airport.

Santiago MG -> MG.

Valencia finished a Citadel (LMAO), so can now help build MGs.

Sparta done a Confused Temple, dial for a Colosseum.

Argos Library done, go for a Uni.

1812AD (416):

Seville done an Observatory, need a spy hut.

Toldeo Destroyer -> Destroyer

Santiago MG -> MG

Tartar finished a Library, get a Hindu Temple.

Athens done a Hindu Temple, dial a Library.

1814AD (417):

Game says Gondar will be pissed next turn, sigh... Ok, well hire artists to stagnant and get rid of the Zara culture.

Barc Transport -> Transport

Cordoba finishes Public Transport. Going to stop stalling on military and dial up rifles.

1816AD (418):

set8artillery.jpg

Rocketry in 6 turns. Almost would be 5 turns. Ok, well switch over Gondar's 3 artists to scientists and it is 5 turns (I love the new tick marks on the bars BTW).

We spammed out another MG in Santiago, but now we're on Artilleries! Yeah!

Aksum finishes something and dials an Observatory. We just lost a square to Zara's respammed crap town, great.

Pamp done a Theatre, get on a Grocer.

Tartar finished a Hindu Temple and I randomly select barracks next. Not really random, as we can now use this town's production capabilities.

1818AD (419):

Ooops, Carthage grew into anger and I wasn't watching. Dial up a Theatre. I think we just finished Oxford.

Barc Transport -> Transport

Thebes finishes a Hindu Temple and goes for a lighthouse.

1820AD (420):

This is that "wrong religion" event that Liq was talking about Grover.

set8wrongreligionevent.jpg

Incidentally, Saladin no longer hates us :p.

Santiago Artillery -> Airport (faster to fly the damn things than use our long rail network.

Murcia Airport -> Rifleman

Leptis done a Theatre. Um, Islamic Temple?

Corinth Library done, dial a Uni.

Oh, looks like Saladin is on the move.

set8saladinfleet.jpg

Sailing through Zara's land, but not in our direction. He's probably headed for Dover. Can keep an eye on that area by using our many Airships, lolz.

Yeah, so S.ilver basically wasted a lot of time and meandered through the tech tree for no reason :crazyeye:. Chiefly because it doesn't matter anymore with everyone trying to tech Physics in like 30ish turns, lolz.

We opened the game with a One, Two (three) Punch such the only border we ever had to actively guard was England's as DE opened with DOWing on Church for a questionable worker punt. That was more our fault because every other Boff game has us next door to effing toku who begs to be punked from turn 1.

Ironic england was the one civ that never attacked us hehe.

The three steps that won the game for us were like so..

Madrid being holy town alone screwed over Hannibal as we sealed that border off before he had a ghost of a chance to make it to the main cont.

The 2nd Punch was rushing Barqs like a pack of mad men who know how nice a town barqs was. That effed over England.

Last punch and knockout was rushing Seville; the one tile off the coast town that could. Really that town's location was a gem in more than just BFC resources as it was the Perfect Distance of 5 tiles from Gondar. This distance was critical because zara is the worst culture civ in the game hands down. After all was said and done, the only tiles Seville was losing culture to was from the wonder whoring capital zara had; Gondar was completely beat down.

Those 3 towns combined with our refusal to open borders meant that the richest land was ours to back fill at our leisure while the other civs had to make do with crap land.

Santiago is just SICK btw and it's not even running a factory+ power yet. :)

Cheers!
-Liq

Am I up? I guess I could take a quick set tonight.

Ok. I've opened the save and had a look.

What's our plan? Are we gearing up to take out England? I can build the units for the attack if you let me know what you'd like.

Is it worth it to pay to upgrade our old naval units (caravel, galleon, ironclads) to more modern vessels? We have 2700 gold in the bank.

Or does it just not matter and I can do anything I want at this point?

Grover

England is about to get attacked by sally so jsut sit back and enjoy the blimp sponsored entertainment,

Time to kill off alex, every single last island of his hehe.

If you think you have enough toops can start it whenever.

Basically keep everything and the big main island gets recast as a colony. Liq can deal with the colony issues.

Really want to keep Knossos but that crap southeast of thebes is debatable hehe. No point razing anythign as these AI's will just replant.

Oh and it really isn;t worth the time to up grade those wooden ships. The two surviving pirates are keepers but you can delete the rest.

Cheers!

How the hell have I been winning on Monarch if I don't know as much as I thought I did?

There is a 'we are unhappy because our enemy is your vassal' penalty in the diplo-sphere. Additional he might antagonize someone.
Since the vassal can break free if he losses 50% of his land it is wise to help him defend in wartimes.

@Liq
Alex wasn't an option to vassal because his culture and yearning is killing Athens(the other towns don;t matter), a really sweet town once it can control its BFC.
Had you vassalized Alex Athen would have automatically gotten its BFC as the Vassal can't culturecontrol his Master.

Had you vassalized Alex Athen would have automatically gotten its BFC as the Vassal can't culturecontrol his Master.

Ahh ok interesting, thanks. Liq hasn't bothered with vassals since warlords so unsure what exactly the dip penalties are for taking the capitulation of England's worst enemy.

That and the yearning penalties are always a pain in the posterior.

Oh and unlike grover, Liq has never invaded with 20 + blimps before so alex is the perfect guy to test them on!!!:D

Cheers!
-Liq

Ahh ok interesting, thanks. Liq hasn't bothered with vassals since warlords so unsure what exactly the dip penalties are for taking the capitulation of England's worst enemy.

I really doubt that there is any reason to worry about Englands opinion of you. Especially as I believe that you will be more successfull than Philipp II  .

1820ad, turn 420/750

We're at peace with everyone. We have open borders with Churchill.

Hanni and Alex are at war with Louis.

Saladin and Zara have a defensive pact.
Ragnar is Saladin's vassal.

Saladin has seven galleons with frigate escort sailing somewhere. He seems to be worst enemies with Louis. He's annoyed towards us and cautious towards Churchill.

Liq says we should eradicate Alex. Ok. I guess that's my plan.

I call up the military advisor to check out our naval units. We have 3 transports and 1 destroyer. We have 2 galleys, 2 galleons, 2 privateers, and 1 frigate in our cities. We have another galleon, 3 ironclands, a transport, and a destroyer in our waters. We have a caravel in friendly territory, presumably England.

We have 2700 gold in the bank, and I'm going to start buying upgrades for those old units to get the war underway.

I blow almost all of the 2700 on upgrades.

1822ad

Lots of buildings finish. I set builds for a few more buildings and a few more rifles and another dessie.

Alex has most of his naval units, 7 frigates and 2 galleons, holed up in knossos (on a small island north of his big island). I'll start there. I get the naval units moving to corinth where they'll load, and I move our attackers to meet them there.

1824ad

Saladin and his lackey Ragnar declare war on Churchill.
Dover looks like the first target. Sally has 5 frigates and 7 galleons. I suspect that Sally attacked from ship. Dover has 4 defenders left--3 LB and a Gren, and 3 of them are hurt.

1826ad

Saladin pops up and tells me that I should convert to Christianity. I refuse, of course.

Rocketry comes in. I set research to Divine Right because we already have 421 beakers towards it and because it's only 1 turn.

Looks like Sally's attack has failed completely. He has pulled all his ships out of English waters.

Athens goes into revolt. I guess I sent too many troops to corinth to put on boats. Oops.

I load up 4 transports, and I'll go for knossos next turn. The greek navy is still in that city.

1826ad

Louis wants our help against carthage. I turn him down.

Divine right comes in. I go for electricity next.

1828ad

I declare war on Alex.
Two dessies shell knossos from 60% to 40%. Our troops land north of the city onto a worker.

1830ad

Knossos is down to 20%. I attack through the defense, and we go 6-for-7. Everyone back to the boats except for a rifle that I promote CG2 and leave as a garrison.

The cultural pressure on Athens is no more.

1832ad

Saladin asks for my help against England. No, of course.

I remember to rebase an airship to Knossos.

1836ad

We take Ephesus.

1840ad

Electricity comes in. I set research to radio for the wonders. Refrigeration for the +1 movement was also tempting, though.

We get uranium near utica. It's already mined and railroaded.

We take Mycenae.

1841ad

Somehow, our lone artillery unit gets elected for stack defense and Alex manages to kill it with a cuirasser.

We get a great general in Seville. I build a military academy in Santiago.

1842ad

Bug informs me that Alex will capitulate.

1845ad

We take Halicarnassus.

1846ad

I've been counting down the greek cities--2 left on the big island, plus three more on small islands in the south. Unfortunately, Alex managed to take a city from France this turn. It's Rouen, on a small desert island by itself. Hopefully france will take it back for us before we take Alex's other cities. I think it's more likely that Alex will capitulate to France and that we'll be at war with Louis, too.

I turn off the option to show enemy moves, because with all our airship coverage, I have to wait 5 minutes between turns.

1847ad
attachment.php

Zara lands a settler on the lone uncultured tile of Knossos' island. Knossos' culture is 114 with growth at 150. I hire enough artists to get 38 culture this turn for the cultural growth. I do not know whether it will be in time, though. Do we get the growth at the end of this turn or at the beginning of the next.

1848ad

It worked. :)
attachment.php

I unhire the artists.
It's funny that Zara's fighting units (cuirasser and longbowman) got punted to the island to the south but that his settler got punted somewhere else, presumably back to zara's home somewhere. The cuir and LB are stranded on that island for a while.

Radio comes in.
I go for mass media. We've got some unhappy cities.

During the seige of Rhodes, our medic takes out a barely-conscious longbow and reaches 37/37 xp. Woo-hoo! Another promotion! Let's see...there is no medic 4...

Oh yeah...We take Rhodes this turn.

1850ad

Louis offers open borders. I accept. Chuchill remains pleased.
One immediate consequence of the open borders is that I can obliterate the Greek frigate that was hiding from our dessies by staying in French culture.

1851ad

We take Minoan, Alex's last city on the big island. He has four more on little islands, counting Rouen. I'm really hoping France can take that back from him to shorten our war.

1852ad, turn 442

Mass Media comes in. I set research to refrigeration for the + movement, but I'm going to turn over the reins on this turn.

We get gems by Valencia. They are already mined and railroaded.

We get a great merchant. I start him on his way to Madrid to chill with the other great folk there.

We have some troops on Eretria's island already, but probably not enough to take the city. The main army is south of there, one turn away.

I've been loading transports just south of Argos, so we probably have some units set to auto-walk there.

We have many cities unhappy. I didn't try to tinker with them to make them happier. I think speeding the war to its quickest conclusion is the best way.

Cheers.

Nice turns mate and bravo about the settler business. Those AI's are just trolling settlers about looking for homes hehe. About the WW, yeah finishing alex is the way to go but I'll see about landing a few jails.

Just spammed 40 turns to bring the Republic to the industrial Age =p

Highlights are...
Say Hi to FDR

Sid's + Mining inc (WTH?) + Wall street in Madrid

Mechs in 4, time to take out England!

Cheers!
-Liq

Preturn:1852
Ok wow! Amazing job on beating down alex with the utter crap silver handed off to you grover hehe.

So many towns angry but the thing I notice is that emancipation penalties are like -4 happy. I revolt out of caste, gimping workshops and most towns are happy again. The ones suffering from effing yearning are still screwed but oh well, Alex isn't going to live much longer than 5 more turns.

Switch a few builds out to the military liq wants and Laugh at all the wonder Whoring going on. Toledo on a 26 turn Efille rofl. You go Toledo!

1852ADnotherisland.jpg

Want to pop a town where zara's troops are on account it's got a fishie!!!

So dial up a settler in the newly liberated Athens and 5 turns, eh? 5 effing turns? Looking to the town and it's obvious it hasn;t been opened since Knossos was taken :) ok whew... Town Doesn't suck and Settler in 3 makes more sense.

1852ADHappy.jpg

Seems the world is a happy place!!!

[1]1853 AD
Oh boy the crap town of ecetera (whatever) is on the plate a swarm of glowing blue dessies buzzing around it. Seems the 1 transport offloaded an arty +3 conqs, great like 5 units in there...hehe ok, well lets try. Promote the arty barrage 3 and get to it...
1853ADarty.jpg

Arty stinks up the joint at 83% odds but runs away just fine.

combat 2 conq only has like 40% odds so suicide him but he did better than the arty!
The remaining 2 conqs kill their targets with fine odds but still a few troops in that pos.

Huh wonder where the supermedic and his gaggle of outdated units are.... Military Adviser, Find me that Chariot!

oh ok locate the main stack hiding behind an iceberg so swing up for some amazing amphibious Conq fun!!
First dies to 30% odds but the second and third are at 80+% odds and punt their longbow!
1853ADetc.jpg

hey, it has crabs...

Unlike this fine barb town..
1853ADbarb.jpg

There's a lone iron tile just out outside the bfc...

Put most workers to sleep until some event nukes the ponys or something.

[2]1854 AD
Lots of crap builds yawn.

Seems England just spammed 3 towns with hindu misses... or was that us? whatever.

omg the transports are a mix of speeds... haha well un escorted transports all over the place.

I just promoted one of those surviving conqs amphibious.... ROFL WTH indeed, it can heal on the trip over to the next pos island. I actually promote a bunch of conq's amphibious and most die.

Oh great 20 blimps to play with every turn... I start deleting a bunch.

[3]1855 AD
We have like 3 different transport speeds rofl, this is like herding cats. So frustrating troop movement to the remaining fragments of alex. some got east some go west!

[4]1856 AD
Refrigeration comes in and OH NOES, missed the screen shot. Whatever..

Actually lets finally trade for Econ. Er no, zara wants effing electricity and England wants bio, eff them... 2 turns on econ so medicine in 5 first for the sid's.

So leaking troops left and right in the process of taking out alex. The amazing amphibious conqs (with horrible initial odds) Roll over this town of uh no idea..
1855ADIslandsinthesnow.jpg

oh yeah what ever the pic said. Same turn I dropped massed WTH troops like axes and artillery over at the pos town that has deer. Lose more conqs taking out various troops outside the town. Endless numbers of conqs hahaha.

Also mess up and plunk a few bigmen maces all alone on alexs last island he got from France. well only has a cannon and a gren in it so not like anything is going to die =p

[5]1857 AD
So the bigmen live =p

An alex frigate shells Rhodes, which means it's so going to get punked for leaving the safety of hostile French waters lolz.
1857ADpunk.jpg

I find a dessie WAY to the north who travels half the map for the free exp.

France comes looking for us to join the war with Hannibal.. in a bit mate.

Seems if Bigman Ralph decided to attack Alex's last town this very turn while the rest of the troops offload onto shore, he'd have pretty have pretty good odds against that gren...
1857ADPosTownWEST.jpg

so scary...

Whatever, pos alex town EAST...

The random stack of doom or units that should have died thousands of years ago...
promote the arty to barrage 3 and lets go take that musket and longbow out!!

1857ADPosTownEAST.jpg

hmm ok so who needs exp, the cr3 combat 1 axe? nope only 19 exp but then again nothing else much needs.

The Hindu Missionary goes first and is flawless....

So random mace and cr3c1 axe take the town out.
1857ADpergamon.jpg

Keep it on account it has deer.

Put Santiago on a 11 turn Hollywood for giggles..

[6]1858 AD
So more cycling though unimportant builds and uh time's up for the newly jewismied alex

More outdated units we never had the sense to delete or upgrade...
1858ADtroops.jpg

HA's and a bigman sword haha

Artillery in first to rough up the musket and conq takes out the lead cannon defender... snore.

Doesn;t much matter WTH takes this pos out so uh Bigman Cecil the sword! has uh 99.9% odds so he goes in for some more siege softened xp hehe.

Time to return this fine desert town to france, who hates our guts hehe.
1858ADFrenchtown.jpg

+1 dip and Forced open borders with france lolz. No longer his worst enemy for now.

And no more Alex!!!!

yaya Liq wins whack end turns!

Time to release control of that main Alex island fragment.

1858ADFDR.jpg

Pop Fdr as a colony and England is -2 from vassal... grrr So time to build up for England and get the transports all sorted and on the correct side of the Nottingham.

England has rifles in 7 but no matter, need to finish these wonders first and get us some Tanks.

Gift those workers over to FDR, who has 2x sam troops in each of this towns hehe.

[7]1859 AD
Shifting troops around. Deleting lots. Plunk settler down on pos desert island south of Knossos.

[8]1860 AD
We are Frances worst enemy again but still have open border... odd hehe.

1860ADhappyworkers.jpg

More odd is this event, now that I placed most workers asleep and gifted a bunch to FDR.

1860ADVitoria.jpg

Pop that crap desert town for the fish. Air lift a worker over but it's going to be a long long time before he ever gets back lolz.

[9]1861 AD

Mass we love the drunk days thought the rest of my turnset hehe! Carthage and barqs enjoy the free beer this year.

Louie gets a GG which reminds me to run an Eng in Carthage for that .000001 % Great Engineer chance for mining inc.

England builds the Kremlin for us.

FDR suffers from tornadoes as he researches corp in uh 3119 turns.

[11]1863 AD
Even rags wants us to go christian..

[12]1864 AD
Whack!

[13]1865 AD
Whack!

[14]1866 AD
FDR gets some event which spreads Hindu to his remaining towns... cha ching!

[15]1867 AD
1867ADassemblyline.jpg

Assembly lines hits and it's time to spam factories finally! Place a bunch even in front of a few wonders.

And just in time, in comes broken wonder number 2...
1867ADbroken.jpg

Murcia is free from the clutches of evil wonders and onto a factory!

WTH?
1867ADMininginccopy.jpg

We get the .00000001% Great engineer instead for the +10ish hammer Mining inc.. WTH?

Guglielmo Marconi has to take the trolley to Madrid on account carthage is too hammer poor to have a bloody airport.

Ok well since we are getting Mining inc next turn and Sid's is already up, Time to Delay rock and roll in Madrid as it needs a factory + Wall street NOW.. supposedly 9 turns for a factory this turn but well that should Change in a second eh?

I spend an amazing amount of cash upgrading all the cannon I collected into artillery, Industrialism in 7 at a mere 60% though time to go Free market looks like!!!

hmm I go universal + free market and it's now Industrialism in 8 at 42 gold per turn, This is fine as the cottage towns REALLY need the hammers to push those factories (madrid alone gains 10 hammers hehe) will swap back to rep when Wall street finishes or whenever Liq remembers.

[16]1868 AD
Barcs finishes our first bomber notice the place doesn;t have an airport lolz. oh well, only an 8 xp bomber...

mining Inc pops and now Madrid's Factory in 3 hehe, slot in a mining inc exe for Santiago first though.

Remember to push a 3 turn fascism for the GG hehe, opps.

1868ADHollywood.jpg

Santiago finishes Hollywood and well factory in 4... should be done about the time the place gets its mining inc.

[17]1879 AD
Well Iron pops in Kerwtf (who built the kaoi stones recently hehe) so lets see, mining inc is now...13 hammers.

[18]1870 AD
Since all the troops in Madrid are safely asleep, am good to go for whack end turn! I Finally gift the sams hiding in FDR's towns over to him as well since getting them over will be a pain in the ass hehe.

[19]1871 AD
1871ADGG.jpg

Free GG time! So Acad in Santiago for giggles!!! DOH!!! Grover beat Liq to it!!!! rofl. Ok so Barq's gets their Acad hehe. That's actually useful haha.

Santiago is now mining inc ed, 153 hammers per turn into its factory rofl.

[20]1872 AD
So Santiago's Factory comes online and it's unhealthy, bah bad!!! lets see, a 1 turn hospital 1 one turn duct a 1 turn grocer an 11 turn pentagon? Hospital works.

Oh and a funny Quest..
1872ADcorpevent.jpg

Target would be
1872ADeventtarget.jpg

Reward seems to be

Option 1 - "Cha-ching! Show me the money!"

Cost : None
Result : Extra Corporation Profit

No idea what kind of Profit and well FDR has one of those silvers.. No idea how to read that quest text.

[21]1873 AD
Santiago is healthy again so start on it's 11 turn Pentagon.

Sally and France get some religious feud. No matter, everyone hates us still!

[22]1874 AD
lag... saving each turn as the game is about to crash at any moment hehe, lets not dumpster dive into Madrid's city screen again!

Place Rushmore into Cordoba as the place is nice hammers and has no other mission critical nationals.

[23]1875 AD
More stuffs building but it appears a huge glut of factories are coming online next turn!!!

[24]1876 AD
1876ADBroadway.jpg

Broadway finishes in Seville as well as a ton of other middling hammer types finishing their factories!

Madrid starts on a 10 turn wall street (Finally!)

[26]1877 AD
1877ADEiffle.jpg

Holy Toledo Finishes its random wonder! Onto a slowish factory!

Madrid is unhealthy at 24 population but well that town so needs to finish wall street before getting to a 3 turn supermarket or 4 turn hospital.

We pop copper at Zaragoza, boggle. Mining inc now worth 14 hammers.

[27]1878 AD
Industrialism comes in and missing the screen... oh well... it's a doozy!

pop that merchant and scientist sitting in Madrid for 15! Golden turns

Its time to PARTY!!!!

Aluminum is under Murcia btw for like a 5 hammer city tile hehe.
1878ADmurcia.jpg

Also, Thebes has Aluminum in a desert hill which is already mined.

Wall street in 7 and then It's SPAM EXE time. There's a 4 Turn Rock and roll sitting in Madrid's queue as well btw. Lets kill a few more turns off hehe.

[27]1879 AD
Oh god England gets another great spy, MORE FBI's.

[28]1880 AD
5 turns til England gets infantry!!

[29]1881 AD
Sally and England call off their long war. Mercia is out of infra to build so uh 3 turn tanks without even mining inc inside! Not bad for a Commerce Town!

[30]1882 AD
Cordoba finishes Mount Rushmore so onto a supermarket.

Seems there's a 30 Screen post limit for liq now hehe so onwards!!!

Cheers!

[32]1884 AD
1884ADplastics.jpg

So onto Computers in 6ish.

Push a 2 turn hydro dam into Santiago to speed up the 3GD.

[32]1885 AD
WALL STREET IS DONE!!!! YAY.. gain over 100 gold per turn hehe. So popping a fast sids and mining exe over to Cordoba for guilt free exe spammage. Rock and roll is 3 turns now so I finally push it out of the door hehe.

[33]1886 AD
Hehe Madrid pops the 15%ish Great Profit so uh off to what the hell holy town we still need.
1885ADprofit.jpg

Oh Islam hehehe.

Infect Cordoba with sid's hehe

Hydro dam finishes in Santiago and it's sick.
1886ADpowa.jpg

Yeah that's going into a non amplified Red Cross hehe.

[34]1887 AD
Bah mining fails to spread in Cordoba... try again.

[35]1888 AD
Red Cross finishes in Santiago and slot in a +1 turn grocer +1 turn Supermarket for the needed health.

[36]1889 AD
Volcano kills off a gold mine near Santiago and one of uh Salmonella's towns, Wake up the workers and all is fixed, well other than the town is now a cottage.

[37]1890 AD
1890ADPC.jpg

Computers obsoletes whatever so 7ish turns on MECHS.

Santiago is good on health now so slot in a 13ish turn 3GD hehe.

Shuffle a sids off to Carthage.

[38]1891 AD
1891ADmoresilver.jpg

Hmm seems sally popped a new silver deposit, not sure if that's needed to complete the quest, meh no matter.

[39]1892 AD
1892ADRockandRoll.jpg

Only took 40 odd turns but Madrid Finished it!!

Respectable troops amassing I guess!

[39]1893 AD
Golden age safely over (no way Liq would allow silver to abuse those turns!) and Carthage pops a coal rofl.. ok whatever. Notice the fishie east of Carthage is in culture now so utica is on a work boat for it.

Placed a fort north of Madrid to base Bombers btw and other than that... most places have jails factories etc.

Most of the Navy is collecting by Madrid and all the max speed transports are there as well. I retired the motley crew of 5-6 move transports btw =p

So England ho! We need its silver! And might as well just vassalize his other effing islands.

Santiago is pushing 222 hammers into an 8 turn 3gd so you have some time to set the hammer up for grover, well unless you just want to go now!

Robotics in 4 where you go 0% science so all those maces can get converted to mechs for an instant pown hahahaha.

New record on number of screens!

Oh save is in the first post!

Cheers!
