1525AD. Panzer General Grimjack by the helm. Frist decree. We will brook no more resistance. We will conquer the world now.
NOt by some future date. We have the allmighty Panzer.
We will use the marines to estabslish a foothold, and then our panzers will sweep through the world.
The time to strike is NOW. All available transportation is loaded up. We discover a fully loaded transport right outside teh
Aztec coast. Troops are immediately landed on a hill outside an inland city.
IBT: Persia and Babylon signs a mutual aggression on us. This is not good. We lose four luxes. No matter, they will feel the
steel of our Panzers soon now.
Persia lands a single Cavalry on our shores. Cocky bastards. I sneak in a bit of happiness controll during production so as
not to have revolts in every city.
1530AD SIze 19 city defended by veteran Infantry. With only four Panzers, this feels like bad odds. WIll wait and see if some
razing of their improvements will make the city shrink. Rubber and oil is fairly high on the list of items to raze also.
Elite Panzer defeats invading Cavalry. Our invaders clear out three sectors of improvements. Have to be careful, as we would
like to have the Aztecs roadnet left after razing their cities. Yes, I would go after Conquest, not domination.
IBT: This turn, it is starting to look like an invasion. 4 infantry, a cavalry, two immortals and a pikeman lands. Will have
to take out our artillery this turn.
1535AD I spend 4 marines taking the size 6 Aztec city. It was defended by two infantry. Good thing we had lots of marines.
Time to rush a few airports and let oru panzers roll over them. We pillage the Aztecs rubber, mainly to prevent them from
rushing out infantry en masse from draftings. We also deal with the invasion force. Another transport is right outside our
coast, but we have many artillery. Our artillery redlines all visible Persian fleets.
IBT: I see Aztec headhunters crush themselvs against the walls of Acapulco. I see Marines behind walls getting slaughtered by
Cavalry. I see marines on the plains slaughter multiple cavalry. I see Persians land two transports full of INfantry and
Cavalry on our shores. I see Paris riot. Zoom ahead prevents other cities from rioting though.
1540AD Tlacopan resists the panzers all too well. I need 10 panzers to break their backs, three of the panzers are lost. We
scuttle the battleship who was hiding inside the city. My pillaging around Tlateloco doesn't seem to work, as it is now size
20. Our elite destroyer sinks an Aztec veteran. War weariness is starting to be a bother, as we go to 40% lux tax. The bad
thing is that should we go Republic, we would still have a bother with war weariness, since during anarchy we would have
incurred losses. Look at that landing.
I do not think I can break it in one turn. Lets see what remains.
AFter some 40ish artillery, all I can see are redlined Persians. OUr three elite Panzers kill six infantry and two Cavalry
without managing to spring forth a leader. The forth Panzer manages to bring forth Barbarossa. He will be used to rush a
battleship next turn.
IBT: Aztecs contacts us, and wants to get payed for peace. Heh, the nerve. Radio comes in. As expected, our free tech is
Ecology. Research is turned off. I will use money to rush stuff instead. NO new invaders though. Lets hope we can get some
fleet in he water for next time.
1545 Xochicalco is taken with one panzer lost. Many are redlined though. It is expensive to advance without artillery
support. texcoco is beseiged, but it is a standstill. They lose an infantry, and we lose a Panzer.
IBT: Counterattacking Cavalry is dealt with summarily. NO new invaders, although a few naval units are bombarding our shores.
1550 Tlatelolcos last redlined infantry manages to destroy three Panzers, but Tlatelolco is no more. Now Aztecs no longer
have horses, nor coal. Watch the workers on Auto dance. One turn they prepare to road forest. next turn they decide they do
not like the forest and leave. Barbarossas battleship destroys a Persian Ironclad. We lose four Panzers and redline two more
during round two of the Texcoco seige.
To next leader. I think we will take out the Aztecs in a turn or two. War wearines is a major problem though. At 50% luxes,
we still need entertainers in all our non-developed cities. I am thinking of revolution. Up to next leader though. We have
some defenders along with a LOT of artillery by our eastern battleship. You may want to load some artillery on a transport
and send towards Aztec lands, but I doubt artillery will be there in time to help. I just accepted the losses in exchange for
speed. We also have an airport now, so we can airlift in panzers. I think it is time to move our transports to our eastern
coast, in order to prepare for the eastern invasion. We already have a trsnport in Sevastapol on this coast.
I have a settler on the Aztec island, so that we may found a city by the Ivory next turn. This will help a bit with our
happines.
