I knew that civfanatics was a really good message board and the other section was closed so I decided to post it on here. I was wondering if there was anyone who lives in Boston near Beverly farms because I met a really nice and cool person their over summer and have lost contact with them and would like to talk to them again thanks

When I was nineteen I went to Mexico to study Spanish for some college credits. It was a nice time. Classes were from 6AM to noon and then I had the whole day free!

The drinking age was sixteen so I went to the bars in the evenings some nights. Very different feel from American bars where everyone seems so depressed (or rowdy & loud which usually strikes me as a cover for feeling insecure).

Anyway, I met this girl there who was really sweet & pretty. She was sixteen or seventeen, introduced to me by another girl who said that she liked me. We chatted & I agreed to meet her the next day at 6PM I believe (or maybe 7). Anyway, the next day I was playing chess in the park in the afternoon & another girl approached me, she'd been watching me for a couple of days & she asked me if I wanted to come with her. I felt torn, to do so meant I would probably miss my date with the other girl. But I was allured & went with girl #2. We walked for a long time, she barely spoke English & my Spanish was poor. She took me to another shady park with winding paths & hills and trees that draped over you. We made out in the grass. It was pretty sweet. I ended up keeping in touch with girl #2 for many years & even went back to see her once. It was totally awkward the 2nd time though as I had a girlfriend then & she had a boyfriend but we both really wanted to fool around but we didn't & it was just tense.

But anyone, this post goes out to girl #1. Girl #1, who even called the house of the host family I was staying with after I ditched her. Please accept my apology! I hope you weren't too wounded & I feel like a jerk, I never wanted to be a jerk, I know what it's like to feel unvalued. Please don't feel bad! I hope you're having a happy life! Please send me a PM to let me know you got this!

I had no idea there was no post count in FT. I don't really pay attention to my own post count. I only use it to spot newbies like this.

As for this topic, I don't know a single person in Boston. Seriously, millions of people live there.
