Ah, I see.

I'm not so strict on "racial purity" as my GPFarm had a ton of GProphet generating wonders in it. Great for the early holy city and religion spread to my neighbours, and for bulbing religions, but I had a few surplus Great Prophets at the end.

I hate early shrines in my games. They only bring in even more prophets!

By the way, I wonder why almost anyone comments on other people games (?)
We're all afraid that some expert will come and show us up for fools...:mischief:

Oh, but that is exactly what I want to happen! :yup:

I comment someone's game and suggest a 'bright' idea of mine . Then an expert comes and makes a fool of me , or just that very same someone answers and makes a fool of me .

In both cases I've learnt something new!:king::banana:

Research.

And where did you use your Hermitage?

Hmm, very good! :goodjob:
I thought Pyramids would be useless this game since research is fast and you don't really need protection after shutting off research. But this usage of Pyramids is very good. I'll remember this!

By the way, you'll be glad to know that during the game I was constantly reminding myself "this is not Deity, culture from buildings is superior to cottages or culture bombs, think as Gosha, concentrate on hammers".

Of course when you imitate someone you can't beat him... 1 turn slower:eek:... You also played the challenger save, didn't you?

me too! :D It was first time in my civ history I researched religion tech as first tech!!!
I did not think and did not have a plan, simply played. So I researched all I need at a moment.

And you can see - I got Academy very close to Obormot game! It makes me proud for me ;)

I bombed Seville twice and Barca 4 times. Rest infos are represented in my upper posts (see page 4).

First of all I needed more happiness to cover as much tiles as it was possible.

As for culture from buildings - take a look at my capital screen shorts!

I know via PM, that at least one player finished faster me :( But he is my guru and I do not feel me too bad :D He'v read my final posts and toldl me that I overdeveloped my cities for so short distance as 50K points.

Of course when you imitate someone you can't beat him... 1 turn slower:eek:... You also played the challenger save, didn't you?
I decided to miss Alpha in my early research and surely played contender save.
:)

Wow, impressive result and write-up for a first game

For the religious victory to be enabled every AI has to have at least 1 city with that religion. From then on, it works just like the UN (diplo victory).

So in this game, as long as you didn't have any budist city there was no risk.

Well, not really like the UN, just similar.
Votes# don't depend on total pop but on pop of cities with that religion. Also if your state religion is the AP religion your votes get doubles. Also the votes % needed is higher...

Well done!

Oracle for Education... You researched CS+MC+Paper out of Bureaucracy.
Wouldn't it have been better to get CS from Oracle and then research MC+Paper+Educ under Bureaucracy?

Researching Machinery and PP... Was it worth it? Did you do the numbers?

You got Liber 50AD but didin't go 100% culture till 425AD, why? What were you doing that time?

FS 425AD ??????? Looks like a mistake, why not FS 50AD?

All of Phil, Machinery, Press, Liber from 400BC to 50AD? Outstanding research rate!!!

Nice game Grey Cardinal! I was predicting experts might beat 1000AD, though, so I'm still waiting for experts to report. ;)

Difference cost between Bureaucracy and Educ 1300 bulb. The difference between 1280 BC (begin research CS) to 950 BC is 9 turn. Research rate in Madrid was ~70 bulb/turn, after CS 105 bulb/turn. 9*35=315<<1300. Second GS is not planned.

Research rate in 375BC(after Univesity) was 270 bulb/turn, in 1AD - 310(Madrid 200 bulb without Oxford).
I Researched Machinery and PP and do not go to 100% culture after liber, because сity did not have all Cathedrals.
Fs in 425AD is my mistake, i forgot, what lider is Spiritual

I played constantly at 100% research rate since 725BC.

725BC 117
600BC 165
500BC 177
400Bc 211
300BC 228
200BC 288
100BC 324
1AD 342
100AD 367
200AD 389
300AD 416
400AD 448

I didn't build a university.

But you have built second academy! Your calculations is not enough objective. You have lost hammer component. Compare capital production in our's games!

And I think that University is too expensive to build it even in capital.

PS Congrats with a very good calculated game! :goodjob:
But I like my cities much more then yours puny cities.

Surely it was possible to Oracle CS earlier then 1280BC. And it also gives hammers.
