While everyone else appears to have played as "user", it appears I played as "useless"
The good news ... Diplo victory in 1876 for 60,493 Final score and 4826 base.
The bad news ... did not get it finished before the submission deadline (the useless part).
After playing to a comfortable tech lead and the conquest of England by about 1200 AD or so, RL left me with 7 hours left before deadline to try to get this done. I managed to vassalize everone but Z'bella and Willie and get the UN built and a vote with about 15 min to go, but was about 30 votes short
This close to the end, I decided to finish the game anyway and declared war on Z'bella and picked off her island cities till I had enough pop for the win.
One thing I did do this game was chase the several quests that were presented to me, just because I had not done that before. Got the Libary quest, the Horse whisperer quest, and a quest about building some number of ships (I forget the name).
The need to sometimes delay moving into the next era while waiting for the quest is one factor that makes them relatively unattractive in most competitive situations, I would think.
