Moderator Action: Everyone: This thread is located in the Civ 7 News and Reviews sub-forum. I found this video by best-selling fantasy author Brandon Sanderson fascinating (Thanks to AD for posting it here). While the title is "Talking Civ 7", Sanderson and his friend spend at least half the video discussing the whole Civ series, back to Civ 1. Sanderson is a big fan and has played since the beginning. I'm creating temporary redirects across in the General forums of each version just to bring it some attention, as some of yall might want to nerd out a little as I have just done myself :D. Cheers - lymond (For those unfamiliar with Brandon Sanderson, he is a prolific fantasy author who has sold over 40 million copies, such as his now classic and ongoing "Stormlight" Series. Besides his own work, Sanderson completed Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series after his passing. )

Brandon and his friend Dan talk about playing various iterations of Civ and their love for the series. The discussion of Civ 7 starts at the 23 minute mark.

Holy Stormlight, Batman! This is awesome!

I did not realize Sanderson was a Civ fan. (I saw him a few years ago at a book signing...he looks like he is signing special editions in the video while talking)

I'm going to see if we can get this up on the Main Page

It's amazing hearing Sanderson speak about the game. He has played since Civ 1 all the way through. I can't believe such a prolific writer finds the time to play the game.

He’s talked about Civ in other videos too. For example, in his writing course this spring (which is excellent and would recommend to anyone interested in storytelling) one of his students asked about Civ 7 and he said he was very excited for it.
