Bring back features from previous civ games!

Remember in Civ 1 where important game events were announced in newspaper format? Or in Civ 2 where you had multiple rulers (1 male and 1 female)? Or the Caravans? I think we should look at features from previous civ games that we liked and ask Firaxis to put them into Civ IV.

I for one really miss the wonder videos, though I really liked the way it was done in SMAC better. Computer generated wonder videos containing various quotes throughout history was both entertaining and educational and I enjoyed that from SMAC very much and would like to see it in Civ IV....It is alot better than the way it is in Civ 3 with no vidoes or quotes whatsoever...

Also, please bring back Elvis and the other council members.

What else should be brought back?

Wonder Movies:Would take up to much space and waste valueable time on this junk, also to mention that most likely this game will be really slow on older computers and this would just add to that.
Newspaper Annocements: I think more then a few people will say that this is just a bad thing and should not be brought back.
Infinite Movement: get rid of this crap its horribly unrealistic
Concil Members: Personally I liked these but it just a waste when I think of all the better things they could be spending thier time on, (ie devolpeing diplomacy better)

The total file size for all the wonder movies was about 30 mb or so iirc. How does it compare to teh file size total for leaderheads?

As implemented, it was horribly anachronistic, but I thought it was a cool feature which simply needed to have the anachronistic aspects tweaked out.

I like them too, but since it was in essence already developed, it wouldn't take any meanigful development time away from other features to include it. Development money perhaps, as the video aspect would need redoing, but no real time.

Don't get discouraged Teabeard, a good number of us miss many of those features too.

My personal sacred cow is the wonder movies, and yes I've heard All the arguments, Colonel, Warpstorm, and the rest of you who are against them.. you don't have to reiterate your stance that they slow down the game, etc etc.

I just want 'em back!
