In the What to Switch Gorina To? thread, it seems that a reasonable compromise may have been reached between myself, Ravensfire and Bootstoots.

While they have convinced me that Aureus deserves its Great Cultural Wonder(the UN), I have convinced them that Gorina is no place to build the Manhattan Project. In our comproise, we have determined that Gorina could switch production goals with Iron Hills, the city that is currently producing the Apollo Program.

While this would waste 200-300 shields in Gorina, it would give us the benefit of starting our Space Race next turn. Plus, the remote location of Iron Hills makes it a perfect setting to devise our covert nuclear endeavors.

In the interest of public participation, I would like to ensure that we all are on the same page here. So please post here, and if there is an overwhelming response supporting this plan, we can probably push this through without a poll.

What do you think, Fanatica?

I have no objections.

As Mayor of Gorina, I strongly support this proposal also. The Apollo Program will fit in well with the Science Capital of the World.

While I am generally opposed to wasted production, it seems that this change does make sense. The computing equipment left over from the SETI project can easily be used to calculate orbits used for a trip to the moon, and of course the communication facilities are needed. And the citizens of Gorina can use the skills they already have for a positive, uplifting :) project.

Apollo it is! :hammer:

I'm supporting this too :)

As noted, I'm in full support. :)

I would like to mention one thing though: I will, from now on, supercede governor build queues with spaceship parts and prebuilds as needed to follow ravensfire's plan, as well as wonders like this that the will of the people supports. I hope nobody objects. :)

You should Poll it.

I was talking to Boots... ;) but thanks anyways. :)

Thanks!
