British Warlord Montgomery

Though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays.

"He Who Hesitates Is Lost - Swift and resolute action leads to success; self-doubt is a prelude to disaster."

Can't argue with that. That's actually a lesson for life in general. :)

(Uh.. no pun intended)

Dang... I didn't even get to use one of my favorites:

"A person who spends too much time deliberating about what to do loses the chance to act altogether"

wasn't the Duke of Wellington a cautious General, look at who he beat?
Anyone who studied the battle knows Wellington lost Waterloo... Blucher saved his arse.

As expected correct? Wellington was planning to retreat to Brussels had he not had a promise from Blucher.

Very ungenerous, D'Erlons corps, Heavy cavalry corps, Old Guard all destroyed by British Musketry, Hougemont was never taken all day, yes the Prussians turned a very close fought battle into a rout but the Duke was not whipped far from it. The Duke was a very clever tactician study Salamanca or Vittoria they are far better examples than Waterloo

PS Nappy was lucky our best Regiments where in Canada kicking out some ragamuffins from down South.
