[BtS] DIPLOMACY: a mod for Diplogames!

IIRC you are making Sioux just a renamed native america with a new UB. I am as well.

What UB are you using? On second thought, the Totem Pole is kinda stupid as it is Pacific Coast natives, not Sioux who built them.
 
I'm not really just changing the name, the cities will be different, they are getting a new leader (Crazy Horse), and a new flag and colors as well as civilopedia entries. The UB will probably have the same stats, but it will get a new name, pedia entry, and graphic.

Speaking of which here is the Sioux unit preview as promised. I have added Chuggi's warriors as well as AZ's great generals. There isn't really any new material here, other than a few reskins and headswaps here and there, particularly with the modern units. The scout is a reskin, as is the Elephant rider. Thanks to AchillesZero for the texturing on that. I also used it on the Canoe unit (which replaces the Galley), but I didn't put in the naval unit preview. I can't give it all away now... :p

That's cool- do whatever you want. I have a problem with the way Vercingetorix looks, so I sent it as a sacrifice to the Pencil God. I'll try sending him a pm or an e-mail ('cause he disappeared again...) and see if he's done something with it.
 
And now for the real Indians.

This set is a true mix of a lot of different units. The ancient ones are a mix of Chuggi (warrior, archer, swordsman), Bernie (pretty much the rest except for the two flanking spearmen) and Sakhr (spearmen). The medieval set is also a mix of these guys and the Industrial units are basically all Bernie. The modern ones are, for the most part, units I made myself with some help from mechaerik. I also made the Explorer too. Although I used the Ibn Battuta unit as a base, which I BELIEVE was made by NikNaks but I could be mistaken.

Damn so YOU are the reason Kamehmeha and Salamasina are taking so long!!! :mad:

Just kidding. When you PM or E-Mail him ask about them too if you don't mind. They shouldn't be taking this long because he only has to retexture Kamehameha's head and Salamasina's, well, breasts to be honest.

Let me know when he gets back to you so I can work on the helmet, if it is going to be a while I might as well work on that Pope Madman has been asking about... I was going to keep it a secret but it looks like I'm going to need some help on it so he'd see it anyway in the Unit Requests thread. First I gotta do the texturing though.

Whats wrong with crazy horse's(medieval sioux GG) spear hand? It uses the same kf as the ancient sioux GG, so just point to the ancient's folder.

Nothing is wrong with it, I just snapped the screenshot right after he finished his war dance, so it isn't in its idle pose yet. Don't worry, its all good.

Ah, for a second I thought my baby was broken. GG's are supposed to have 2 seperate fidgets, so I made him 3 different war dances (2 for fidgets and 1 for attatching) but the crazy sum:):):):):) was dancin round like every 5 seconds. So I cut one of them.

On a more serious note, I am starting work on the next round of GGs. Most likely the 2 celts you suggested and 2 japanese. The medieval japanese will be based on that samurai that was busting tom cruise's balls through most of The Last Samurai. But I have no idea what an ancient japanese warlord would look like, any suggestions? Also I'll probably through in one other non-warlord GP, so any requests?
 
I actually have an awesome idea, and apparently I looked at it and was unable to create it myself (and honestly you'd probably do a MUCH better job). Madman has been requesting a Pope for as long as I can remember, and nobody has made it, so I took a look at some files and I think one could easily be made. Take a Grenadier's head and put it on either the Great Prophet or Spy torso. I'd also replace the stick with either the cross or just a generic golden rod in case the civ you are leading isn't Christian (I think his plan was to use it for Roman-Catholic civs like France, Spain, Portugal, Rome etc.). Of course it would require some retexturing, but I'll post another quick mockup of what I am talking about. Or you could even do the one on the left as the Medieval one and the one on the right as the Modern one.

EDIT: Now that I look at it I think the spy body would be the best bet, but it doesn't matter really. If you don't want to do that I think a Spanish GG would be cool, probably one based on Francisco Pizarro, in fact you could probably use that Conquistador with the black armor. I forget who made it but I think you probably know what I am talking about, if not I can find it for you. I also think an Egyptian GE would be cool, or maybe something Viking. But again, do whatever you want, I know how difficult and time consuming stuff like this can be.
 
Hopefully AZ can make that pope, I tried to Madman and it didn't work out too well. Anyway the next set I'm working on is the Vikings and then the Khmer.
 
Hey, Check my database as I updated it with Civ Col leaderheads.

Just giving you the heads up as I thought you might want to use maybe one of the revised dutch leaders as someone for example.

I'm going to use Van der Donck for example, as a leaderhead for my dutch civ.
 
I already used Van Der Donck as Maurits van Nassau in my first mod. This time around I'm actually making a Maurits van Nassau LH. I also used Champlain as Johan de Witt for the Netherlands in case you want another idea.
 
It turns out that the revised Dutch leaderheads only come with the edits. I still need the original files.

Is it possible if you could send me your Van Der Donck? van Nassau is a great idea btw, I think I requested him a while back in the old leaderhead request thread.
 
Thanks for the heads-up Igor, but yeah I've seen those. I follow Ambrox' stuff closely because I am going to use a lot of it for some modular civs coming up. I am going to do the spies when I flavor all of the settlers and great people. But anytime you come across something you think I missed or haven't seen please let me know, there is just so much material its easy to overlook something.
