Vikings are finished, Khmer is next and then I will do the Franks, Mongols, Turks, Portuguese, and Zulu. I think that does it for the vanilla civs. Then I'll start putting the new ones in.

No real need for a Viking preview, the only units you guys wouldn't have seen (probably) are the Swedish units I used for their Industrial era. Which are pretty good, and are not available anywhere else, because I made them.

I just have to do a Viking playtest to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Meanwhile I'm having a lot of CTDs shadering your other LHs! I already complained in Ekmek's help-thread, so I hope we can get an answer soon.
BUT, what I can tell you (from the few seconds I had with a shadered Charles V before my game decided it was time to crash) shaders improve the quality of your leaders so much!
I don't think this is a problem with your LHs only, but who knows. I'll try shadering my LHs later and I'll see what happens.

Correct. Many other artists Lhs are like that. Ive tried to shader a few of thiers and get same results (crashing). Several of the older LHs seem to have included a shader and noshader nif, when reality they are both just non-shaders and are just there taking up file space.

I'm actually a 49ers fan, I was born in California but I moved here when I was really young. My whole family are Niners fans though, so I was raised as one. Having said that I am still a Redskins fan, but when they play or are vying for a playoff spot its Niners all the way. Not that they are good or anything.

But you are right, the Skins are awful right now.

I don't get like that over sports really, I'm a pretty calm fan. You have to be when your team has sucked for almost ten years straight and you live across the country from it. Anyway I think it would be hilarious if we had a modern Great Artist for the Native American civs as the village people guy, that would be awesome.

EDIT: There are a couple 49ers bars in DC, but they are both gay bars, so its kinda lame. I just watch it at home, I have NFL ticket. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay of course, I'm just not. And Madman, since the time I made that post the Niners scored two TDs, so thanks for the good luck.

While we're talking about flavored GP, America's Great Spy could be Jack Bauer, and France's Great Spy could be Jacques Clouseau (the Peter Sellers one).

I'll probably just use Chuggi's spies for the flavored spies. I don't want to get caught up in making Great People. It will be VERY time consuming for little payoff. If people are making them that's fantastic, but if I have something perfectly useable I will go with that. Keep in mind I still have a lot of XML and python to work with, plus a bunch of leaderheads and I'm still not finished with the regular unit flavoring.

The enthusiasm is great, don't get me wrong, but there's just so much I have to do that making a Jack Bauer (who isn't even real) would just take up a lot of time. Plus I don't think I could pull off a Keifer Sutherland texture anyway.

I agree, although there are plenty of East Asian GGs. There is also a really good Arab GG, and now thanks to AZ at least a couple Native American GGs. Chuggi made a few MesoAmerican and Incan GGs as well. So there are a bunch out there. In fact I think there is a MesoAmerican Great Prophet, Great Merchant, Great Artist, and Great Engineer. The African set is basically done as you said.

Chuggi also made a Mexican GG, which really would only work for Mexico, however I think the head can be ripped off to make a good Mariachi for the GA. Modern Engineers would pretty much be easy to make, all we really have to do is retexture them to look like whatever ethnicity we want, you could probably do the same for the scientist, or really any modern great person to be honest.

Someone made a bunch of ancient GGs as well, so I think there are more out there than you may realize. Stuff like Jack Bauer though, I probably wouldn't put that in the mod anyway, and it detracts from good stuff (like the Pope you requested for instance) that may needed a bit more. Chuggi also made a Middle-Eastern Great Prophet if I remember correctly. Another thing; when you say Middle-East what about the Babylonians and Sumerians? They are pre-Islamic cultures that would have a different look to them, because they aren't Arabs and currently the Middle East is mostly Arab.

Been meaning to ask, planning on doing anything to Australia and Canada's units?

Speaking of the pope, have you considered turning the Colonization preacher into a Protestant, modern great prophet? (And reskinning it for Asian and African civs)?
