The Borinqueneer (65th Infantry) would probably be the best UU for Puerto Rico.

As for the UB, either a Lechonera or the Athenaeum, as DF suggested.

Hmm, I just looked up the Athenaeum and it seems to be one building rather than a unique building. Here is the WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE. Am I mistaken here? If there is only one of them in Puerto Rico (or one place called the Athenaeum) I can't make that a UB can I? Although it does sound pretty cool.

My first choice was a Lechonera but I haven't so far seen a building that could be used as one. It's basically a roast pig joint.

Well, that could replace a Grocer and we could give it an extra bonus for pigs but that would kind of suck as a UB strength, although if we had a cool model that would look good. Maybe some type of resort? I don't know, you'd probably be better at figuring this one out than I would be. I don't know much about Puerto Rico.

If we are suggesting stuff here... I understand there are talks about maybe adding Ekmek's Atototzli as an Aztec LH. I just looked for some new ideas in Wikipedia and found and idea for a masoamerican female LH, but for the Maya. I'm talking about Lady Xoc, who was pretty powerful in the Mayan society. There's more about her in Wikipedia, than about her husband, Shield Jaguar. Anyway, I thought this could be a nice idea for a LH and using Atotoztli as her sounds pretty good to me.

Also, I like the idea of using the Borinqueneer as a UU.
Rum Distillery... maybe. Rum seems more Jamaican/Barbadian.
Lechonera could work, but it'd be a really weak UB.

Well... West Indies still has the Cricket Ground as an UB, so the Rum Distillery would be fine.

And if we go with the Lechonera, it could have not just a bonus for Pig, but for Rice and Bananas (although treating Bananas like Plantains might be sort of a stretch). And maybe a happiness bonus because Puerto Ricans are loud and like to party.

I like the latter idea.
Grocer with +1 happiness base, then +1 happiness for bananas and pigs. To me, a plantain will always be a tiny banana.

Plantains are bigger than bananas. Starchier, too, so they can be cooked like french fries.

Don't forget the rice! Pigeon Peas and Rice is, like, the national dish, even though personally I can't stand the stuff. Of course, rice is also an ingredient in blood sausage, which I love.

Oh, I thought plantains were the tiny bananas.
I'm thinking of Banatinos. Blame Family Guy, they confused the two once and it kinda stuck in my head.

I actually forgot rice was even a resource. It's one of the ones I never get, along with gems, ivory, stone (yet I always get marble), and silver.

I was going to do a variation of the sign on top for the large sign on the building.

I'll probably color the roof either red or dark green. The face of the building will probably be either white, light yellow, or maybe brick. I was thinking maybe the building itself in brick, and then stucco for the patio wall

I also found a cool picture I can use as a base for the Borinqueneers. I was thinking of giving them uniforms similar to those of these men (I like the look of the guy with the mustache, the one standing atop the image).

There is an image on that site with a Borinqueneer up close in a photograph where he has a symbol on his helmet that I'll try and put on it too to make it more distinct.

Perfect. Maybe do some really bright colored graffiti? Something kinda festive looking.

I made a Siamese Cavalry unit based on an image I found online. Let me know what you guys think of it, it doesn't really look that Siamese to me, but its pretty close to the picture.

They look kind of ridiculous in the pink, but it does look distinct. So I guess its either the white uniformed guys from before with the Dr. Livingston hat, or its these guys with Cotton Candy on their heads.
