[BtS] DIPLOMACY: a mod for Diplogames!

Staying in East Asia...
Capo, have you decided on Chinese leaders? If I recall correctly you wanted Mao, Qin, Cixi and Taizong, right? But, you really liked this one:

So, i thought he kind of looks like Ögedei Khan (Genghis' son):

.
So, what do you think?

Also, If you haven't seen it yet, MO's early Korean LH is ready and was released recently. I believe he also works on a Vietnamese LH.

Yeah, I was going to use that guy as Ogedei Khan. I was going to add a hat and change the clothing though. I think I'm only going to stick with three leaders for Korea actually. We'll see what happens.

No comments on the Cavalry?

Here is the Rifleman. I'm not sure how happy I am with this one, and I haven't edited the head yet but this is the general idea. I'm going to leave the helmet white/the way it is because I think if it was yellow it would look odd. I added a different point to the top of it to give it a more Khmer look. I'm much happier with the Cavalry but I think this one is pretty good too.

Keep me informed on that one. I am going to add him to my game as he is now, but change his BG (so remind me to give you the BG file I'll create for him).
And Korean leaders- Wang Kon, Sejong, Kim Jong Il?

Yeah, I'll let you know. Again, none of these LHs I am talking about will be finished for a while. I still have a lot of stuff to do before I get to that part of the mod.

Are you using the Korean guy?

I think he should be Gwanggaeto, Korea's other "Great" leader.

I haven't decided any of that yet, I don't want to get ahead of myself. Right now I'm focusing on the Khmer units. Here is a quick mock-up of the Khmer Infantry, it is loosely based on some images I found of the Khmer rouge. This will probably also be used for the Machinegunner and AT Infantry. So let me know what you think.

For the modern units I'm going to reskin Zerver's Thai units.

And their modern soldiers will generally look like this. This is going to be the unit used for the Mechanized Infantry. I know it isn't technically a mechanized infantry, but whatever. There are no Cambodian/Khmer flavored modern units out there that I can find so I gotta go with what I got.

Alright, the Khmer are "finished." I say this because I am not entirely happy with the set right now and there are still a few touch-ups I want to get in. So no previews. But I did manage to snap a quick shot of the Cavalry and Rifleman that I made. They look pretty good in-game, here is a shot. I might post these to the DB, I don't know though...

EDIT: I just realized I forgot to change the symbol's color according to Madman's button. Damn it, now I have to go all the way back and find it.

It's the color of Mali's Text.

Speaking of colours, could you tell me what colour you are using for Assyria in your mod. I have a very annoying pink colour now and I would like to change it, but I don't know how (I mean I know what I need to edit, but I don't understand all those colour vals).

The color vals on the files are the RGB values of the civ, but turned into decimals, in other words, the RGB value divided by 255.

Oh- this might help me to figure it out! Because I was looking in all those painting programs and the colour values were very different.

Yeah, to be a bit more specific I use GIMP, so I just go into the color selection screen, look at the RGB values and divide them by 255. It isn't always EXACTLY the same in the game, but its really damn close so its a cool way to make even slightly different shades of colors for so moany civs.
