The game in general has been a mess since I got it, when I first installed the game whenever I followed a hyperlink in civlopedia the game randomly crashed, so I stopped doing that and was content to play. Next I tried to install some patches, the game froze up so I stopped doing that and was content to play (after restarting the computer), then I tried to download the newest version of Rhye's and Fall, the mod no longer loaded and the game crashed every time I tried to load it.
SO
I figured I would reinstall it. Now, I installed the game on my external hard drive (if that matters I dont know) so I went to the control panel to uninstall the game and various errors showed up, and I had to abort the uninstall. Thinking I could delete all the expansion, by simply opening the civ folder and deleting the folder titled "Beyond the Sword" I thought that should do it, because I can't find ANY files related to BtS anymore, but when I put the CD back in to install it, the option to Play came up so I can't install it. I even went through the files on the disc and tried to run Setup.exe but that wont work, as it merely brings up the uninstall menu (wierd?) implying there are files left, but as I already said, when I try to uninstall in that way I get repeated file errors.
Oh and to top it off, I cant completely reinstall everything (that did occur to me) because I lent my original civ 4 off to someone else.
