[BTS] Regiments & Ethnic Diversity

hi, what s the fonction of the module "bonus units" which adds some civlopedia entries like the king guard a national units , a noble maceman and so?
 
That's some more unit diversity : the King guard for example is a knight (with exactly the same stats as other knights) but it use another (beautiful ;) ) model for the unit, can be build only in capital and you can have only one at a time.

The noble maceman are not limited in number, but need a castle to be build, etc...

I see , but no offense there , how I can remove this ? when I try to delete this module I get loading issues...

no offense taken, modding is about personalisation :)

I think you also need to remove reference to these units in EDU_xxx_CIV4UnitArtStyleTypeInfos.xml from "..\Modules\Ethnic Units\XML\Civilizations" where xxx is the name of the civ using bonus units.

do a search on each unitclass from Bonus_CIV4UnitClassInfos

If I remember correctly, so far only german (king guard, maceman noble, heavy panzer), french (king guard, rifleman legion) and russian (Marine Navy, Marine Elite) civs use bonus unit.

and just for curiosity : why do you want to remove these ?

Everyweek I play MP games with new people who never play the game , and I noticed the civlopedia entries from thoses units confused them (and confused me too until your post)...So I I prefer to remove this module :)

BTW, today I did some testing and I merged your mod with the NextWar-Enhanced mod . I was surprised because I didn t get any loading issues and it seems to work perfectly (just some techtree issues) !

yes, waiting for the patch (and testing a full game). ;)

what's in is the new ships line : added galleass, steamer transport, sailing ironclad, early submarine, steam destroyer (and dreadnought already in)

once I've finished my test, I'll add newest ethnic units from forum, and if patch is still not here I'll do a release and update later.
 
Hi,

I love this mod but for me each and every time I get to somewhere in the 1800's to 1900's it sends me back to my desktop, or to be more precise vista says, that the program has stopped working and then I am at my desktop.

I have not managed to play a whole game through to the end as guaranteed ctd's occur all the time, I did try that MAF fix, but no good for me.

I love this mod I really do but what is wrong, I tried with the game patched right up to the current version, but am now playing with version 3.03.

I hope someone can help me please.

Maybe I have to alter something, although without any help I don't know what.

Apologies for the double post but, this might help towards helping sort this problem out, I had around 7 saved games and when I deleted 3 of them, the game then let me play on, I am confused and would really appreciate the help from anyone who plays this mod.

Scrap the above as this morning it still crashes, despite getting rid of old saves, whats wrong with this?

I can't get this mod to work.
It's in the right spot, I did the Modular XML thing...
The only other Civ4 thing I'm using is Blue Marble.

When I go to load the mod, while it's booting up Civ4, I get the whole performing an illegal operation and needs to close popup.
 
I installed the new patch... I assume thats why the mod will no longer load... maybe there's another reason, but for now I'm going with the fact that this new patch has changed a lot of things

To make this mod working for 3.13, you have to delette the dll and delette XML/misc and patch artstyle. But some little bug will remain....

the game's civgamecore.dll, xml/misc, and artstyle (folder where?)?
or the mod's dll, xml/misc and that ethnicartsyles1.04.fpk file? also, what kinda little bug?
