Arabia have been settling Indonesia again...

I don't see anything wrong with Arabia settling Indonesia. They did spread Islam there, and in some places up to 90% of the population still practices Islam.

Muslim =/= Arab.

What is Arabia doing in Siberia? this is the right question!

I think they conquered it, which is OK, IMO. The Germans and the Arabians have divided Russia. I like some evidence of hot AI-on-AI action!

I was gonna say Germany did pretty good with themselves, until I realized it was you :D

Who's in South Africa?

hehe :P
the dutch! they declared war, i took amsterdam and they lived happily in south africa for the rest of the game :D

I don't think there's anything wrong with the Arabs settling Indonesia either. Arab traders certainly had a huge influence there, that's why they are mostly Muslims now. If the Arabic Caliphate had been more stable and lasted longer it is very probable they would have absorbed these newly-Islamified lands, with which they had a lot of contact, into their empire. Arabia in Siberia isn't so strange either. Both the Caliphate and the Ottoman Empires pushed into the Asian interior. With Russia crushed they would have gone as far as they could.

Arabia settling Indonesia is OK, but I wonder what are the Dutch for...

Well the thing is that historically, none of these civs actualled 'settled' the Malay Peninsula. They were full of various independent kingdoms until Portugal, Spain and to a lesser extent other powers (England's first ever colony was here) came to dominate large chunks of it in the 16th Century. The Dutch were very much latecomers to the region, but they succeeded in taking over most of it.

I was refering to another screenshot (with ultra-powerful Germany) where the Dutch failed to colonize also, despite being OK.
