[BtS] Star Trek Mod

I never was able to get this mod to work. I could get the main screen up but then it would crash before it loaded the map and civs.

Does anyone have a solution for this one? The same thing is happening to me.

I really should have to try this one out ASAP. I haven't yet, and it's a sin not having tried it, since I'm a trekkie. Me and my girlfriend are currently watching all of The Next Generation and we're on season six right now. We've also done a few Star Trek Enterprise episodes.

Ah. I might get her into multiplayer Civilization too with this mod, if I'm lucky. I've tried to fool her into playing multiplayer a couple of times, but to no avail. I want to be the Romulans. She can have her Klingons.

Edit: That didn't work too good. The download would have taken me 5 hours, and I interrupted. I have to try again at a later date. Internet access has been bad in our whole town this past few days.

That's fine. The only reason it's on Atomic Gamer is because I was having problems with FileFront a few months ago. I'm planning to try FileFront again when I release 3.0.

Edit: I am having trouble downloading that one too though. The download doesn't start at all. I've tried clicking all the links. I'm going to try the first download link again.

Edit: I tried again just now. I now have the Star trek mod and it came from FileFront wth good DL-speed! Now I need that patch too, and I'm ready to go...

Edit: There we are. I now finally have it and I played all last night. It's my new favourite mod. I think it's excellent. It was indeed worth the download! Thanks for all the work you have put into this, Deanej. I might now get my girlfriend to go for multiplayer too!

It has lots of new leaders, gameplay changes and additions by apenpaap and TC01's cloaking device mod merged together .

I'm playing the mod and it's fantastic, but with any empire I cannot seem to convert that religion/ideal even though I start with required tech. Am I missing something?

The founding mechanism hasn't changed, it's just that all civs start with the tech for at least one ideology. They are founded at random a few turns in. If another civ has the same starting tech, they might get the ideology, so unless you play Bajor, you aren't guaranteed to get one.

Having the Klingons without Warrior Code, the Federation without Exploration, and the Vulcans with Total Logic seems... heretical. I think I will mod this in my copy.

Edit: For some reason the download from FileFront just broke and I just got 57 MB's of the file... I am trying again. You should really consider some other solution than FileFront.

Played a few turns on the 'Galaxy' version last night and the speed difference is appreciable. I look forward to exploring and playing this mod and hope to get some multiplayer use out of it, too.

not work for me. Starting mod get error msg. and all differnet st versions is in mod load page. they all got ground to play in, And start trek starts even after error msg but is on earth. please advise
