bug: holy war random event

Random event was to "take and occupy" the taoist holy city of carthage.
Was told that quest would fail if the war ended, or another civ took the city.

A totally sweet quest it appeared. I devoted all available resources to achieving it. . . . .

Heres the save just before taking the city.

& yeah, I support a city revolt with my spy in carthage, do some damage with my cats, storm in with my stack, and take the city.

Next turn it says quest has failed.
Waiting until the city is brought out of resistance does nothing.

I was gutted. . . .

I have da same problem.

Im conquering the Mali empire, one of his citys is da holy city of my religion, capturing da city and quest failed.

Anyone ever completed this quest?

Unlikely seeing that it is a known bug The trigger for completing the quest seems to be broken somehow, so we'll have to wait for the patch to solve that problem.
