Bug Report

The option - "New random seed on reload" is forcibly disabled after the first save reload, although it is present at the beginning of the game. Is this a feature new version of the mod or a bug?

*I always played this mod for RP playing of world empires, and not for the challenge, the absence of this option significantly complicates the game (I agree), but makes RP playing too difficult sometimes impossible due to random losses, I still think this option should be available optionally.

No, you can't. Releases are savegame-incompatible. Also, it is unlikely that I will be debugging the 3.71 as I no longer have it installed. So my advice to you is to either continue this game until its logical conclusion without triggering the CTD or to move on to 3.72. I may look at it eventually, but not soon.

Hello, thank you.
Now i'm play 3.72 and see this bugs:
game crashes when create a colony (only late game)
barbarians not settle a new civilizations

On version 3.72, with a fresh installation. Can't seem to select Filipinos as a country in custom games nor Emilio Aguinaldo as a leader. Also, when I open his Civilopedia article, the game crashes (even if I open Pedia from main menu)

Why do you believe you should be able to? It wasn't supposed to be a playable civ (outside of one scenario IIRC).

That would obviously be a bug, but I wasn't able to replicate it on my side:

So I will need a bit more details from you, with system specs, installation details etc.

For some reason the pedia entry for Venice won't display despite the entry existing in the text files. Also applies to several other civs as well. This was on a fresh install after I noticed it happening in my previous install.
System spec: Windows 10 Enterprise
Installation: Civ 4 complete from GoG

Ah that's my bad. I checked the release notes for v3.72 and I realize you do mention it's scenario-specific, although to me the way the note is written kind of implies it also could be used outside the scenario:
  • Replaced Taiwan (that was mostly a carbon copy of South China anyway) with Philippines. New derivative civ, mostly complete. NU will eat your recon units for breakfast, maybe even literally. Maritime-oriented UB. Fully fleshed out unit roster, with strong infantry lineup that excels in rough terrain, meh cavalry and archers. New leader complete with city names (that list took quite some research, including actual historical publications). Starting location in Triassic scenario updated to reflect new civ (though it was actually closer to Philippines than to Taiwan anyway)
It would be nice if you could make the Philippines available outside of scenario play in the next update, although I get that's probably not high on your list of priorities.

I was going to get some details and screenshot an issue with the Civilopedia showing a blank page for the Civics page, but it seems like this only occurs when using the third-party software "Borderless Gaming" to allow for windowed full-screen for Civ IV. So I think this is just an incompatibility between your mod and Borderless Gaming, not an actual issue with the mod itself. My apologies.

RI is not adding any new playable civs, and hasn't for many years, sorry.

Taiwan wasn't a playable civ in the first place. Pedia has a filter to show only playable and non-playable civs that allows you to check easily - a couple of normally unplayable civs, like Finland or Ukraine, can be played in scenarios, and Philippines is one of them.

That just leaves me even more puzzled, as 1) I also use "Borderless gaming" and have absolutely no issues like that, and 2) I wouldn't imagine how it'd be able to cause that specific type of issues. Can you post your system specs?

Hey, so today i wanted to play game on my home LAN however one of my 2 PC's can't Launch realism Invictus in LAN MP (the other pc launches just fine..). It hangs on 'initializing map' and freezes there. The same pc can Launch normal CIV BTS in LAN mode Multiplayer, and can launch Realism Invictus in SP. Any idea what i could try? I tried reinstalling CIV + RI, but that didn't do the trick :/

random error in unit interaction
does not allow to interact with the interface in any way
trying to do a skirmisher attack on a barbarian unit
*to reconstruct the error

I had disabled "No slave/serf rebellions" in the game settings. Still I got the message that AI as Russia (Lenin) had gotten "slave revolt" event in one of its cities.

Could this be a bug or can something else than civic trigger the slave revolt? This happened in Classical era.

Wow, that might be the first case in a real long while of someone actually trying to play a real physical LAN game. I know virtual LAN works (as I tried it myself), so maybe try that (ZeroTier or somesuch and Direct IP connection)?

What's the version? Release 3.72?

Working as designed. If you turn off slave/serf rebellions, which spawn stacks of rebels on the map, they are replaced by random events linked to those civics (not spawning any units but having other negative effects).
