Bug Reports and Technical Issues

For the Congo thing, do you have a save that is from more than 10 turns (assuming normal speed) before the Congo spawn?

I have a good idea what causes it, I was just thinking that a save would be helpful to confirm that I am on the right track.

Got another one this game. So nobody built the Parthenon in the old world so I figured I'd construct it. 1 turn left and the game says I cannot continue building it, which I assume is a regional reason. Still disappointing AF.
I didn't look but I assume that's because someone else discovered the obsoleting tech (gunpowder). That's a mechanism to avoid unbuilt wonders to last into the late game. Still it would be nice if we got failgold for such events just like when someone else builds the wonder.

Wow I had no idea. Thanks for letting me know. I thought it got obsoleted once the owner of the wonder researched the tech.

If the wonder is built, then yes obsolescence considers only the techs of the owner. But if it’s unbuilt then it becomes unavailable worldwide once the tech is known by any one civ.

I agree though that this should give failgold, have made a note of that.

I get one of the gameplay with Poland I have today. I have not knowledge of the congolese civilization yet, but I know they have begun with Confucionism as state religion via WB. Save attached.

I have found another bugs:
European civilizations begin with Catholicism even if the religion was not founded yet.

Khmer description in the "Select a civilization" tab says the estimated time is 20 minutes, but the autoplay was aproximately 8 minutes to me.

European civilizations are discovering techs too fast. One example was that Spain have discovered Gunpowder around 11th century.

In the 3000 B. C. map, Hanoi almost never appears in the game, making Khmer UHV even more complicated. I believe this is due to China settling Kunming or other city close to its spawning tile.

Yes, I ended the turn, it still did not occur. However, I found another report of a similar issue and found a fix. So let's see if that addresses your observation as well.

If you control Marrakesh on the turn it's supposed to spawn for the Moors, it will grant you a free worker and settler. On 1.16.5.

Tibet dynamic name when capitulated to china and its capital is in indochina is Tributary Yindunixiya State. Yindunixiya is the mandarin word to Indonesia, which doesn't make sense to the context of the gameplay. Instead of Yindunixiya, it should be Tubo or Tufan, since this is the earliest name recorded in chinese documents.

I cannot just reproduce that. If you encounter it again, please upload a save.

I have some problems that were not in the last build:

Argentina has no power against spain when independent

Britiain has no troops withins borders to declare war when independece of america and canada

Thanks

The next turn, I research a technology, bringing my stability from Stable to Shaky. But another civilization, Korea, still respawns from under me on the same turn.

Some observations from Byzantium game, game version 30.6. develop.

1. After autoplay some fishing boats were missing their nets even when worked, but issue solved itself after reloading a save.

2. Constantinople gets a free Forge at start even though Byzantium doesn't start with Steel. Not sure if this is intentional; the city might need the extra production to build wonders necessary for UHV2.

3. When Arabs spawned and flipped their flip zone, my fleet 1S of Athens disappeared.

4. Ottomans did not spawn even though Turks controlled Babylon at one point. Also Ottoman spawn conditions should probably be explained on conditional spawns Civilopedia page.

5. During after victory replay, some civilizations had wrong colours on map.

6. Regarding tech speed, Medieval Era in particular seem to go too quickly. For example HRE founds Protestantism consistently in 14th century on Regent.

7. Separate issue, but when code diving to figure out Ottoman spawn conditions, I noticed that it looks like Thailand doesn't spawn if the Khmer are dead. Confirmed this by autoplaying to Ottoman spawn from 600AD and placing barbarian via world builder on Khmer cities, and then playing to 1350AD. Thailand did not spawn.

Saves are in order:
1. Turn before Arab flip
2. Turks at their largest
3. Last save with Turks alive
4. Turn before supposed Ottoman spawn
5. Turn before victory

I don't quite understand what you mean to say with the "but". What is the contradiction of a civilization spawning under your control if you lose stability?

Aren't civilizations only allowed to respawn from under my control on Unstable/Collapsing stability? I was only on Shaky.
