Bug Reports and Technical Issues

I don't see an error message - it just quits to my desktop. How do I enable logging and Python errors?
It is explained in the first post of this thread.

On 1.17, the first Egyptian animated leader crashes my game. This happens both in the menu screen when selecting which empire to play, and on the diplomacy screen. The crash seems to happen the instant that the game tries to load the animation, because I don't get to see it at all (and hence I don't know which leader it is, but it's whichever is the earliest).

I'm using the full install version with the bundled mods.

Unfortunately the bug makes it impossible to play in the ancient world because inevitably I'll meet the Egyptians at some point and the game will crash to desktop.
The first leader is Ramesses from the base game. Do you have an issue with him in base BtS?

Ah, good shout, I just checked and yes I do. So this isn't a DoC issue at all, thanks.

Actually, I've had some file corruption issues on the HDD on which BtS is installed, (I've been migrating off it as a consequence) and that's quite possibly what's happened. Thanks for the help. I'll try moving my installation over to the new drive.

Okay great that we could identify the problem so quickly. Let me know if it works from your other drive.

Great!

When I try to start a game it pops up and says "You must provide a game name". I tried reinstalling both civ 4 and the mod and still have the issue. When I start a game in base game and in other mods its working fine.

Can you take a screenshot to show me exactly where the popup appears?

Does this popup appear every time? Does it give you an option to enter a game name or is it just an error message?

It does it every time and I can't enter anything anywhere to change it.

What happens if you start a game using Play Now?

Is France's UHV meant to be to control or vassalize 40% of Europe or just to control it, because it doesn't say vassalise but it counts the land controlled by vassals

Looks it was working but the spy has to be stationary for more than 1 turn before it appears as an option. I didn't know that, sorry for the bad report
That doesn't sound right to me though. Can you share a save where it isn't working?

You'll just have 0, the -2 is because salt gives -1 for balance and the forest gives +1. Yields on a tile can't go below 0.
