Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Thanks for the quick fix.

Got another one:

Latest SVN. Game crashes when hovering over the culture bar in city view. The city was at 0 culture if that makes any difference.

Sounds like a classic division by zero error.

Edit: worked for me with newly founded city with 0 culture. Can you share a save?

Thanks.

Turns out I was right! Division by zero for culture rate value, which I obviously didn't notice when testing with the Egyptian capital. Will commit right away.

Once a civ collapses, the message starts recurring every turn. So I have "China has collapsed!", "Byzantium has collapsed!" and 3 more civs up there in the log every turn.

Oh, I know what does this, will fix that soon.

Playing the US I can't access the WB anymore, immediately after moving to turn [July 1883]...so far I could enter it anytime, but as soon as I enter this turn it crashes to desktop when I ctrl+W, before doing anything.

I wonder if it has to do with the great writer ranking civs popup at the beginning of turn [July 1883], which I've looked to disable but can't find out how.

Also, to try and isolate the problem, (obviously something happening during the AI turns) I erased all eurasian cities on the previous turn [jan 1883] and it worked...but obviously this is not a solution...

Here's the Jan 1883 save, if you try it out, you'll see you can enter WB, but not once you get to the next turn. WOuld there be any way to check out which AI unit/building, etc. does this ?
I tried to solve this on my own, but there is no obvious solution.

I noticed however that if you reveal the entire map using Ctrl+Z in cheat mode, the game crashes already at the end of your turn.

Can try to isolate the problem again by being a bit more methodical about it? It would help me a lot already if I knew which city has to be removed to avoid the crash.

TXT_KEY_BUILD_SLAVE_PLANTATION should say:
Create [LINK=IMPROVEMENT_SLAVE_PLANTATION]Slave Plantation[\LINK]

TXT_KEY_BUILD_HIGH_SEA_FISHING_BOATS should say:
Create [LINK=IMPROVEMENT_HIGH_SEA_FISHING_BOATS]High Sea Fishing Boats[\LINK]

Work Boats can't actually build High Sea Fishing Boats.
I also at a quick glance couldn't see any fish, clam, crab or pearl on an ocean tile.

I made more progress than I have before but still can't play the game. I am using the SVN version of the game with everything most current.

I go to the main menu and click advanced and choose to load RFC Dawn of civilization. When I go to scenarios, I get a blank screen. I know for a fact I changed the name of the folder to "RFC Dawn of civilization" because I directly copy/pasted from Leoreth's instructions.

I'd also like to point out that I did in fact do this, as Leoreth requested: "; Set to 1 for no python exception popups
HidePythonExceptions = 0
[...]
; Enable the logging system
LoggingEnabled = 1 "

You're using the wrong Mods folder. Instead of My Games\Beyond the Sword\Mods\ you need to use [your Civ4 installation]\Beyond the Sword\Mods\.

When I met Mongols they still had no techs. Yesterdays revision.
Not that again. Do you still have the initial autosave?

The Cape terrain feature does show up in the pedia, but without any information. It should be or hidden or get info.

The DCN of Canada while being a soviet vassal is: Soviet England. Should be Soviet Canada ofcourse.

Updated the Trudeau and Peron pedia text, so it also has the title, lived etc. (See attachment)

Thanks.

I dont have the initial auto-save, the oldest one is a few turns after my start. But I do have a save for 1180AD or 1190AD if that helps, just before the spawn of the Mongols?

Yeah, that's also good.

Thanks, will look into it after the next commit.
