Bug Reports and Technical Issues

It's because Protestantism is only considered to be "historical" in Great Britain, none you of cities is "core" to Protestantism. I've also experienced this as Spain. No holy city could be considered a bug, however.

I've had this before. You know what's funny? When I founded a colony as England (Fredrikstown) and then got to Printing first, Fredrisktown became the holy city. Just not on the British Isles.

But founding protestantism in Paris works fine, does that mean that Paris is core and London historical ? that's not really consistent.

You can check it out for yourself in the worldbuilder. Click on the "DoC Maps" button on the third row, second from the left , then click on the button "Religion values" second to the right from the bottom row, choose Protestantism. The holy city must be in the core of that religion, but something is stopping it from appearing at all when you don't have any cores, while allowing the religion to be founded.

I assume there is something wrong with how the religious regions are determined. I will investigate this later.

Leoreth, resource trading with vassal is bugged. They ask a lot for things that you don't have, but will give away their own if you already have them. Talk to Inca in the save and you can see the problem.

Also I don't seem to be able to trade native slaves even with colonialism? Anyway I don't understand how it's supposed to work. Furthermore, traded happiness resource doesn't seem to contribute to the colonialism :commerce: bonus?

Speaking of resource trading, I don't know if this is a bug or not, but the AIs sometimes insist on changing resource trading deals in the human player's favor. I've not made extensive notes, but I remember it happening a couple of times with Japan while playing China.

Japan: "We will no longer stand for this deal!" [Japan: 1 Silk + 2 gpt <-> China: 1 Rice] [let us say]
Me: "Okay, what would be a fair trade?"
Japan: "This is what we want!" [Japan: 1 Silk + 5 gpt <-> China: 1 Rice]
Me: "Are you coming onto me? Because I'm getting this vibe like you want to be my friend in a more than non-sexual way."

Oh by the way, I still can't get over the fact that there are youtube let's plays or something of this mod?

Correction: the second save does not crash for me.

Huh. It still crashes for me. Oh well.

BTW, do you want a saved game with an overflow? I see discussions of overflows earlier in this thread, but I've always dealt with them in the past by erasing the troublesome city in WorldBuilder.

Is there something wrong with the civic Colonialism? Now there is not 2 commerce per happiness resource for capital. You can start a Spain 1700 game to prove it

There is for me in my Indonesia game. The bonus should be shown at your palace.

Yes!

Two crash-to-desktop files for you. The crashes occurred during the computer's turn. Just hit "Next Turn."
Another follow up: in the first save, it appears that Babylonia's respawn is the issue. Do you have the previous save from before they appeared?

Eesh, sorry, I don't have any previous autosaves. I tend to play short, fast, ancient games, and I clean out the autosaves to cut down on clutter. In the future I'll put them aside, though, in dedicated folders for just such occasions. Attached is the overflow save. The problematic city is Incan.

Thanks. The crash might be caused by the overflow bug as well, so that could help there too.
