Build Queues?

While discussing CivIV at work earlyer my buddy told me that build queues can be setup but I fogot to ask him how, and being stranded at work can someone fill me in, as I'v just been monitoring my cities manually but this would cut down on my turn time greatly

<click> suspends current build and starts new selection

Can you suspend something and work on something else temporarly then go back to continue your first work in progress?

Yes. That is new in Civ4. If you select something (<click>) while the current build is not done, the build is resumed once the new selection is finished. You may repetitively delay, but sooner or later the old build "deteriorates".

PS: The same mechanism applies to resarch. You may interrupt/resume learning a tech.
