Byzantium: Beyond the Golden Gate

JEELEN: Once I get the base of the mod done, would you be interested in working on the map? All that I would need help with is placing resources. The map doesnt come with any resources and the ones I added to the warlords map I just went randomly based a bit off the earth map.
 
Actually, I'm planning on doing a couple RoM scenario conversions (by request); also, my The Crusades! should have accurate resources. Still, I can have a look at it. (File's the same as the one you uploaded or will it be updated?)
 
I'll give you the map once I have all civs placed. I will have to update it to support 34 civs. (There wont be that many civs but RevDCM uses 34 civ dll.) It will probably be near the end of the month becasue I am gone all next week. I am almost done with units, I just need to finish putting in the Slav and French list.
 
Wat's really cool is that...not only can I look forward to Ajidica's mod; I also am now able to look forward to The Navy Seal's mod bein updated and JEELEN's new mods. I'm excited. I think I'm gonna find the threads for The Navy Seal's mod and for JEELEN's mods. :) This is so excitin, man. Puts me in a good mood.
 
If you get bored with Medieval, I reccomend primordial stews Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire. You can find it in the main C&C forum. Since it is for Warlords and isnt in the main subforums, not many people try it, but it is really good. Reaserch is differnt to. Considering he did almost all of the owrk on it, it is really impressive.

Tho, I'm usually pretty occupied doin Medieval and then Fantasy mod like FfH and the 2 mods that have urls in my sig. So, with moddin and playin, I'm pretty busy with CivIV.

Not to mention, RL...I need a new job in RL. Cuz I'm not gettin nough hours in my current 1 and, as a result, not nough $. So, I'm pretty busy.

But thanks for the suggestion. :)
 
The mod is fun becasue you cant just spam legions and take over the world. You have to use garrison units for garrisons and your army has to be combined arms. (You dont nescesarily need cavalry but they are useful.)

JEELEN: Once I get this mod done, if you need help with a mod or testing a map, I will be glad to help. If you hadnt helped with the map, the wod would have died in the WIP thread.
 
I am done coding the units!!!!!!! Now is is onward to buildings, improvements, tech costs, and civics. I have to have this mod out by the 21st as marking one year since I released my first contribution to CFC. (A unit art pack for EMA).

My outlook was overly optimistic. I forgot about artdefines and unitAI. Throw in half a week catching all the xml errors I made and making sure I didnt mess up RevTypes.py and RevDef.py and testing using AI autoplay. In actuality since I am gone next week release date is more like end of the month.
 
Well, if you need anyone to find any errors or bugs, I can do that. Tho, I'll be too busy to do much else.
 
I am done with civics except for revindex tags which I still have to work on. Does anybody have any ideas for builings and there stats? I am trying to piece a building list together from Rome:Total War and Medieval Total War, but it is going slowly and both of those games dont have the most inventive building stats.
 
I maneged to get a basic alpha version done, but when I went to load it up, it got to techinfos (I know that because there was an error there), but them it crashed. I cant remember the name of the .dll file that supposedly doesnt work, but since revDCM works just fine, I think it is an error of mine. I had the same error occur in 300AD-BTS so it think it is a missing xml tag. I have one more place to try and fix it. Beyond that, will need serious help. I will be posting the mod shortly to see if any of you can find an error.

(I know there are quite a bit of xml errors, but these should only casue a popup, not a crash.)
 
I am officialy sick and tired of of BTS. First my mod crashes for no reason on startup and now CFC wont let me upload the file, which is oly 18 KB. This is really pissing me off.
 
Take a break once in awhile (and do something else). We're all waiting patiently for the result of your hard work.;)
 
I know that I should take a break once in a while, but a crash like the one I had back on 300AD-BTS I hate. I'll try and get the current version uploaded. What I might do when I get back is start smaller, focusing on the battles in Syria
