I indtalled the mod in the bts folder MODs. It shows up in the load mod folder, but when I eelect it, the game rxitd and c2c doesn't load. I tried changing the civ iv settings so it autoloads, but then we i click on it, nothing loads at all. Any thiughts? Thanks

Just wait. It takes me about five minutes to load on my system!

It takes me about 7-10 minutes to load the first time (+3min for map) and 2-4 minutes to load subsequent times without restarting (with a map loading that's quite quick)
A long while ago, I tried v25. Or at least I tried to. It would open up all right, but when it came to loading the map and engine it froze, and then suddenly quit process. Nowhere to be seen in task manager.
A few days ago, I remembered that I still had this mod taking up +2GB of space. I decided to download the current v31 and hey presto! It works now, and I currently have spent over 5 hours on 200 turns, but I'm still well in the Prehistoric Era (Gigantic, 25 Civs, Archipelago, Snail Pace). Wow this is going to take a while, and it takes a while processing AIs' turns as well. Maybe I shouldn't have chosen these settings. But it's a brilliant experience so far, it's just that thinking of all these units and techs... 500 hours?

Also with autoloading the mod, I modified the C2C shortcut in the mod folder to the right target directories and also changed the icon to the C2C one. Default is an ugly blank.

There is a BUG option 'minimize AI turn times', which will substantially speed up the AI turns (without impacting the decisions the AI makes). The downside is that it suspends animations while the AI is thinking, so things will be largely frozen during the AI turn (not a big deal really), plus a small bug that sometimes message popups (new tech say) disappear immediately instead of staying up (I'll fix this when I get a reproducible case!). For larger maps most people prefer to have the option on to make things go faster (it's off by default)...

Thanks this helped a lot. It reduced the AI turns times to a little longer than what you would expect in Vanilla BtS, which is brilliant. I have however, occasionally got the research complete window popping out before I can read it properly. I think either loading a save, or switching the option off and back on fixes it most of the time. So far I am enjoying it, even though I'm far from being ahead of the AIs. Still in prehistoric era with nearly 20 hours play time :O

Also I found some mistakes in the words with the Sevopedia and tips. Which thread is best to discuss these?

ANYTHING wrong or needs correction, goes in the bug/crashes thread.
