Wasn't ability to sail oceans unlocked with Astronomy since forever?

Was reworked, most ships can go into ocean with optics not with astronomy. Like dragonship and so on so the forgotten rest should be able with optics also and ocean trade should be enabled with ruder tech. Looks like only the ships of ruder tech have been forgotten to set from astronomy to optics to make them move ocean plots.

As said looks like: "Damn you did put the ocean ships far back... maybe to far... rudder tech ships should be able to enter ocean with at least optics tech not astronomy, fluyt ship and others can enter ocean with optics and fluyt ship is available before astronomy. Looks like ruder tech ships should be directly able to enter ocean or at least with optic because other ships can enter ocean with optics. And caravel ship of optics tech also can enter ocean and is before astronomy. Yep rudder tech ships should be able to enter ocean also with optics tech not with astronomy tech. Astronomy tech is to far away and other ships already ready to enter ocean plots.

Also Navigation tech should be moved near optics, navigation was available in medival not in renaissance era. Or enable ocean trade in optics tech or rudder tech, because there are ships that can enter ocean with optics tech and navigations tech is to far away in renaissance era, should be at least in medival era."
 
It might've been available before the Renaissance but on Earth it wasn't used to really get out and explore and colonize the new world(s) until the Renaissance.
 
Its no idear, its a bug/problem. :) Some ships can enter ocean plots without any tech others earlyer then others, should be in one line. I will need at least 1000-3000 turns more on deity/ethernal i think now to get to the point where i can enter ocean plots, until then most of earth will be full with +30 citys because AI has build the world full already now as fast as the AI builds citys now. Look into it and consider to make all ships able best to travel ocean plots in classical era or at least medival era, otherwise there are maybe only 3 or 4 civs left to travel the ocean's worldwide. Depends on how many will survive. Ships was able to travel ocean plots in classical era real life. Otherwise i will go as it is and we see how it works out. Best will be to make tech seafaring to enable sea trade and ocean trade because there are not many sea plots on maps and a ship that can travel the sea can also travel the oceans. Also ships should be able to use ocean plots with best seafaring or at least ruder tech. Otherwise it will be a long time until i can enter and travel ocean plots. Well i can maybe edit a tech to make ocean plots and ocean trade enabled available earlyer but then i need to edit all ships to be able to enter ocean plots with a earlyer tech as well i think. Can i edit that or is recompiling of the mod needed?

So is editing a option or better go as it is and wait very long until ships can enter ocean plots?

(Its good in my scenario that we have the costal ways for early ships, so is manageable but waiting so long to travel ocean plots will make problems in every scenario/map, you cant go colonize you can only conquer because all civs expanded far unit ocean plots can be traveled. Only thing is you can reach islands to colonize.)

I will go with the mod settings, but consider to get ships be able to use ocean plots earlyer, if you change them let me know, if not i will go further andwait long to be able ocean plots, the costal ways in UEM will be used a long time then but is manageable, but realy consider make ships ready to use ocean plots earlyer.

And one way i can use to make ocean plots and ships be able to enter ocean plots earlyer will be to give the tech optics/astronomy for free to every civ in WB, this will work also if someone wants earlyer ocean plot ships.

BUG/PROBLEM:

Great Scientist can build a academy in +12 city, text says requires +13 city. Text needs to be fixed to +12 city or the unit needs a fix.

Turn 1600 as promised, 20000 BC.
Turn time 1min 30s.

I had luck avoiding war with greece, so far so good :). He has strongest army in the world.

Looks like playing as USA is very easy, already 16 cities and rising. In fact, every north america nation looks very big and strong.

War between france and england still continue. I attache few screenshots. Next report on turn 1700.

Good job. :thumbsup: No USA is not easy, depends on game how lucky they start... i am on USA now and have alot of problems and its going harder and harder now. :crazyeye: Will report soon, closing to turn 1500.

Alcohol is affecting the building "Market" not displaying, alot of these bugs in pedia in +%gold buildings...

Yep reporting these so they dont get forgotten. Not easy to find stuff where 2 points share same name.

I was in process of renaming but in midway it suddenly became much harder to be creative with renames - sometimes three things shared same name.
Only DLL and XML mass editing may solve it at once.
