C2C - UEM - Ultimate-Earth-Map 100% MOD and SVN update compatible by Pit2015

Works for me with latest SVN.

@Toffer90 Latest SVN update says savegame not compatible 2 = 3 or something can i use my old savegame somehow with latest svn? Savegame is from SVN 11238.

So if i continue my game as long game with 11238 what will be the problems? (Good for a long game with 11238?) AI is not colonising space? Wich points will suck? Wich SVN update is the savegame breaking?

AI won't be able to colonize space for years - that's long way off.
SVN 11239 is latest one, that you can play on your saves.

That sucks, dont do alot of changes or other stuff that can wait AI should be prioritised as AI first so why no one is developing AI that way, move forward with it! Damn! :) This is Caveman2Cosmos!

The problem is that we'd like to change how space is set up so it isn't a super janky side-of-map extension, and when that happens it'll break any work done into letting the AI work with space as is. So... yes, we are working on it, but small steps :P

The problem is dont change to much, finish all what is needed and make the good AI even better now, then later if all is running good begin to change stuff. :thumbsup:

The entire space map side of things as it is now is just a temporary situation designed to give us time and testing on some terrains and system concepts. It's not really at all the way we intend it to run in the end so why waste years writing AI to manage it then have to completely rewrite the AI to handle how it will be later?

Not years, in 2-3 months AI must be ready. Letz go harder! If stuff is not changed always and instead finished then mod is more working. At least make AI work a bit for space now, better than to have no space AI for years. Space is good for some years now, fix graphics a bit. Whats about the spacepart on UEM map for now? Any use or only a placeholder now? At least i think the gamer can go colonize a bit.

Will look into to make a AI mod maybe if it takes to long.

So again why ppl do space maps or game space maps now if the AI is not using space at all? What is possible with space maps currently? Only the gamer can colonize space a bit or how is space working now?


Change all stuff again before mod is at least working one time will not only break savegames again it also will make most spacemaps obsolete or need to be adapted again destroying alot of work from these guys.

Yes, it's total sandbox play after Earth on these maps.

They were warned that it would not be worked on to completion prior to multimap implementation but would only be a temporary way to play into some new conceptual content.

More ppl will game the mod if it is working, so all efforts should be made to get that what is there to work and dont wait years for maybe multimap, with all ready then new stuff can build up on this. Multimap is not sure to come and is not needed as large maps run now, memory saving is needed more. So point should be to make all work, fix all bugs and improve AI further on all that is there now and dont do changes that break savegames until all is ready and working.

Edit: @Thunderbrd If all what is in now is finished, the gamers can stay on his version and finish his savegames, then change or add new stuff. Will make the mod more gameable and gamers will stay. First finish and make work all then increase, enouth stuff in now, make it work then when all is finished think about changing and adding new stuff.

Sometimes you need to think about the current course and redefine it, first finish all, when the working product is ready then add more. Now is the time for quality, later is the time to add more. Also no time waste to finish space AI now, can be adapted later to new stuff.

No more changes or addons until all what is there now is finished and working mostly bugfree.

Space AI is needed now, not in years.

There will never be space AI for the space maps we have because the structure of such AI would be radically different to a multimap AI. Multimaps are actually right on the fringe of what we can do already but there's many reasons we wait to implement it and are building up for that. It would take years to design an AI for the spacemaps we have even if we tried to dive into it and every bit of that time I would consider an absolute waste and distraction from goal. If someone wants to figure out how they can build out the AI for it without making it more problematic for anyone to create the AI for a multimap game space, they are welcome to it, but it's not something I'd be tossing my efforts into the trashcan for.

Hopefully hopefully, at least a low base space AI for the next years, if not i may look into it when i reach space age and do a modmod to create a working long game where you can finish your savegames as i did for my stellaris modmod with all the AI improvements.
