Alpine Troop for Norwegian culture ? seems strange because Norway is as far away from the alpes as africa. I think the italian army has a unit wich name sounds similar. maybe alpine troop is an english word for some kind of winter units I don't know but there has to be a better name
 
I am not promising anything but if you had your druthers what would you want on a pedia screen for Cultures?

I was thinking that we would not show the wonder or resource in those pages but show them in a Culture page which would also tell you what heroes, units and buildings required that culture. Plus the requirements for the culture.

If that was possible that would be wonderful! :eek: To have them so they don't clog up the other buildings and resources would be great! So far the only technique as been calling it Culture "something" since they list alphabetical. But the resources don't even have that so they are mixed up with all the other resources which can be difficult to tell what is a culture and what is a resource.

So a big YES!

EDIT: What about culture units? Should they be in their own pedia section like the Heroes?

I hope it all works out ok, but does the current heroes pedia work correctly yet, i thought once you clicked on the hero in the pedia it went to another pedia someplace?? I haven't looked in a long time, since I "never" use the pedia at all for anything.

You guys keep forgetting, i am playing like a noobie, OK, i have to ask questions, as if i have no idea what the "heck" is going on. . .:p When i am done, i think i will compile them, and put them in a thread of their own, for others to see, but that wont be for another year or so.
 
I fixed the problem with the pedia by getting rid of most of what I had done and replaced it with The_J's code.:lol: However there was a page in the sevopedia folder for Heroes which has a different structure to the units page. It does not work at all but I may be able to get it to work, then we can see if it is better or not.

Brazil was included early on. Plus is a South American civ.

What I mean is what you can "well known" is "well known" only for a north american. A south american will have a totally different view of what is "well known".
As a fact, I only know half of north american culture wonders, but nearly all others culture wonders

Special building : Housing (Lavvu). Same as Tipi

I understood what you meant but if a Brazillian would like to step up and express what cultures he knows of that we may never have heard of here in the States, then please by all means we'd like to hear from him!

Yanomami (Amazon), Wayana (French Guyane) or Aymara (Chili), just by looking at the list. And I m not a bbrazilian (and yes, one is in a french territory ^^)
I can give some european too of you want, but I will not be sure about the english name

Iceland's first "Golden Age" could be said to be from the Age of settlement circa 900 AD (840 AD sounds right but I am dyslexic and more so with numbers) to the time of the writing down of the eddas in the 12-13th century or a bit latter. At the time their UUs would probably have been explorers and traders. Perhaps put the viking "Grand Tour" down to them even though it was a Scandinavian tradition.

"Grand Tour" = meet in Yorvic (York, UK) to put together an expedition. Sail to south Ireland to raid for supplies and some red heads, male and female. Sail to the Caliphate of Córdoba (modern Spain/Portugal). Sell the red heads into slavery to fund the expedition. Fight pirates at Gibraltar then a relaxed tour west to Greece and Byzantium (was Constantinople now Istanbul). Sell boats, join Varangian Guard for a few years. Buy horses, go to Novograd and then back home.

It gives a boost to trade and trade missions; exp to explorers and boats; and reduced crime (at home).

Thanks for those. The more South American civs the better. Since now they are their own region. Probably will add them to the set after the next set.
