Ok I saw the "Homage to the Jaguar Warrior" and would like to know how Lahero video taped his playing.

Hi all, I just had 2 questions about workers. Are any of the automated functions useful in C3C v1.22? Either in the beginning but especially late in the game. And how the hell does the "irrigate to city" worker action function?? Mostly the button in unavailable and if it is, it isn't quite clear what my worker is going/supposed to do. (to me, that is, tried browsing the manual pdf's and several forum topics but nothing could yet clear it up to me...

Well, the automated functions aren't what I'd call 'useful'. You can do a better job than the AI using your workers. The AI will irrigate grasslands when the despotism penalty is in place (-1 to any food/shield/commerce when more than 2 are being produced) and thereby waste worker time. General rule of thumb is 'irrigate yellow, mine green'. That way, in the early game under despotism you get better production out of the tiles that the AI usually does.

As for the irrigate to function, the workers are supposed to go to the nearest irrigation source and irrigate tiles to your city, so the city gets irrigation for it's tiles. There are two reasons why it shouldn't work. 1) The city already has irrigation. 2) There is no fresh water on that continent. Although I've never seen it not be there. OTOH, It's a function I rarely use.

Can someone explain what the features of the goverments are?
Things like Military Police Limit and unit support per town/city etc.

What do these mean and what's the best way to use them?

Warriors make good MP's in the early game.........2 per city for your core cities or even just your capital. :)

I have 3 quick questions to ask:

1. Does everyone have to save a MP game, or only the host?

2. Me and a friend are playing MP coop vs AI civs. For some reason me and him are unable to sign a Mutual Protection Act. The option does not show up. Yet we are both able to sign them w/ other civs. Is this because he already has a MPA w/ an AI civ?

3. Is there a way to tell a group of workers to build a road without having to click on each individual worker? I'm tired of starting a freakin fortress all the time.

Thanks!

1. Only the host.

2. Do you both have Nationalism? Perhaps the AIs have Nationalism, so you can sign them with AIs who have Nationalism, but if neither you and your friend have nationalism, no MPPs (MP Pacts, not Acts, but it's similar) can be signed between you.

3. No, sorry.

Hope that was fast enough. :p Welcome to CFC. :)

That was great! Thanks. I haven't played this game since it came out, and I don't remember much at all. Not that I actually was any good when i started :)

First I'm sorry if this question was asked already, but I just don't have time for searching this whole huge thread. I'm new to C3C and currently playing pretty successfull Emperor game (It could be much more successfull if I'd read this thread first). I'm holding MGL for TOE that will come soon, but, fortunately, I've read here that MGL can't rush Great Wonder, right? (Though my first MGL did rush FP). Then I need SGL. My question: can I have SGL and MGL simultaneously?

@leha:

Let me quote Doc T. He knows :)

Doc Tsiolkovski said:
1) You can get a SGL at any time
2) You cannot get a MGL when you already have a Leader, whether SGL or MGL.

thetrooper , thanks.

Now everything's easy, I just need SGL ;)
It is so frustrating, I keep this MGL for half-a-game just for TOE, and now I'm likely to loose it, cause I don't even have time for prebuild. :(

Yes - you need SGLs for Great Wonders (including ToE). MGLs can hurry Small Wonders though.

I have one question regarding the editor:

When you create a scenario, there is a folder with the name of the scenario. But if I want the folder to have a different name, how can I do it?

You need to add it to the search path in the mod. If it is the main mod folder, put it first.

Thanks. But... how do you add it to the search path?
