Half of its operational range.

Ive just got the game, and its at 1.0

Is there a list somewhere of whats improved with each version of the patch? There only seems to be a list of improvements for the current patch on the download page.

How does forest harvesting work, exactly? Can I grow\harvest in the same tile over and over? Why quite frequently if I stack enough workers to grow\harvest in one turn I don't get any shield?

No, you can't plant and harvest the same tile. There used to be an exploit where you do this, and people had a lot of workers out there, doing it to one city and getting great wonders very easily. This is the same reason why shields don't go towards wonders when cut down.

Basically, it's this. When you cut down a 'fresh' forest, you get ten shields for it. I'm pretty sure you can still plant a forest and cut it down for ten shields. But these shields are only good when working on non-wonder items. And once you do cut down a forest (or disband a unit in the city), you cannot change over to a wonder until after that unit/improvement is completed.

Forest squares can be cleared for a one-Time bonus. After that the square will not longer give a bonus for clearing a forest.

Thx that was helpful!(Especially the wonder related stuff!)

Another question:

When two cities overlap is it possible to switch tiles from one another and how?

Yes it is. Open the city that you don't want to use that tile, and click the tile you don't want that city to use. Then switch over to the other city, and click on that square. now it has use of that square, and the other city won't. If you have to, turn off the govenors for a few moments, so you can make that change.

If you harvest a forest tile, you lose the shield production that the forest gave. But if you replant it, it produces the shields again (and you have the ones that came from harvesting!) That's the best you can do.

I dislike C3C songs. How do I replace them with some of the original Civ3 songs and some classical music?

Where´s the search function?

I have no idea, but I guess you could just add mp3's to the sounds folder (conquests\sounds\misc).
The search function is disabled to relieve the server. It might be re-enabled somewhere in the near future. Or never.

What do the numbers in brackets after your government type in the Info Box mean? Example: Despotism (5.5.0). I've been playing C3C since it came out and just recently noticed this and couldn't figure it out.

I have never tried it; but I hear it goes something like this:
1.Rename the original C3C music files. I like adding "old" to the file name.
2.Copy in the music you want and give it the original music's name.

BTW you could also turn off the C3C music and use a media player to play your songs. I use Windows Media player myself when I get tired of listening to C3C's music. :)

Why not just fire up *your* copy of C3C and look for yourself?
