Since I do not have freight in C3C to rush the wonders. I sometimes will start the palace in a city so I can use those shields to build a wonder (it is probably not too smart because I could get hung out to dry).

Can someone tell me if is worth jumping the capital in C3C?
The waste/corruption advantages of "jumping" the Palace in Vanilla & PTW was eliminated for Conquests! ;)

Well why does it work in PTW and not C3C? I'm no super programmer, but this bug could be something as simple as "sub_attack_peace = 1" instead of "sub_attack_peace = 0" :hmm:

To the player who wondered how the AI got 2 techs at the same turn, how about this. I noticed one of the techs with Espionage. It's possible that they discovered espionage, used a SGL or MGL (you said they were at war) to hurry the intelligence agency, planted a spy in your capital and then stole electronics from you. A plausible explanation for that occurence. They probably sold espionage to one of the other AI to finance the steal.

You don't need the intelligence agency to steal. An embassy is good enough to attempt tech steals. When using embassy to steal, the chance of success is lower, and it can only be used during peace time, but never the less, I suspect that's what happened here. The deal that scloopy made with China for Artistry probably involved a nice pile of cash, and Mao put it to good use

how can you up-grade armies?ive got several old impi sitting around
with a load of tanks comming in!

You can't.

Please refrain from posting more than once on the same subject. You've asked that question in the Quick Answers thread.

What you could do is disband the impi army in the town producing armies, that'll make their shields somewhat useful (not that disbanding them in a town wouldn't be useful) and rush the new army a bit.

I've got a question about jungles.
I read in my Civ 3 terrian chart that rubber is the only strategic resource that jungles get. If that is the same in Conquests then after rubber pops up it's safe to clear every jungle. Something to do with that army of workers.

You can clear the Jungle at ANY time....Rubber will still appear!
(The Rubber is assigned to the tile at the BEGINNING of the game......what you do with the tile later does NOT prevent the resource from appearing!)

So...........get those lazy workers out there with their machetes! :)

BTW, in future, if you need a Reeeeally Quick Answer, go to the Quick Answers thread:

Firstly, nearing the end of my game (once I had researched everything) it begun researching Future Techs, all of them being "Future Tech #" (e.g "Future Tech 1" and so forth). What do they do? Oo I didn't even get a pop up box saying "Our scientists have researched Future Tech 1" once it was completed, it just moved onto the 2nd 1 and so forth 'til the 5th 1 (where I won by domination and quit the game). So yeah, do they have a purpose or are they just a novelty?

Also, during the same game, after 1 of my ships had been destroyed by a Privateer in Spanish Waters (which was clearly a Spanish Privateer but considering I had been enslaving Spanish ships left and right, it hardly mattered) I went to renew my Silk trade with them and in the top right hand corner my foreign advisor was saying "Don't forget, the Spanish armies have attacked us before" (words to that effect) yet I had yet to enter an official war with them, so is this a bug where the game recognises you as being attacked by a civilisation if said civ's Privateers attack you?

[Sorry if these have been asked before, after the 12th page of "CTRL + F" I just got sick of it and posted]

Future techs are next to useless. They may be worth alot individually but once averaged over the whole game, they only add a small amount to your score. You're better off stopping all science research when you get to future tech.

As for the privateers, i suspect you are right in your assumptions. It's no big deal so don't worry about it.

Ok thanks.

So future techs are just things that add to your score? How muc hare they worth each?

1. Yes
2. Not much

Research a Future Tech and then go to the Score Screen and it will tell you how many point(s) it's worth. Each FT is worth the same amount. :)
