If you have CivIII, PTW and C3C do you need to patch all 3 versions or do you only have to patch the latest (C3C) in order to have the best functional game?
Unable to find .wav: make sure you have the latest patch

.....And, if you buy and install Civ III Complete, it comes with the latest Conquests patch (viz 1.22) built in.

I am sure this has been asked before, but does adding "noAIpatrol=0" to the ini file of conquests count as a mod? I want to make sure my scores are recorded in my HOF. I want to use it for the COTM, but should I remove it to play my other games?
ini file settings do not count as a mod. Only if the default biq file has been edited does it count as a mod.

I have 3C3 and PTW.
There are some mods in 3C3 which require PTW units. Instead of trying to dowload it, I could try to copy them from one place to another. Does anyone know which units\terrains\graphics I have to copy?

If you have the PTW extra units (WWII and Japanese) already in your PTW/extras/ folder, you're fine. If not, then download them here from CFC and put them in the PTW/extras/ folder.

Quick question. I have an iron deal for 13 gpt with the spanish. I'm giving them iron and I want to cancel it (the 20 turns has expired) I tried clicking all over the foreign advisor screen and on the details area of the trades but it will not cancel. How do I get rid of this deal?

Open the diplomacy screen to Spain and click on the active button (bottom center) and you'll see all of you active deals, if you click on the iron deal, it will be brought to the offer window. Just remove all the pieces of the deal you don't like anymore (or all of them) and then see if Isabella will agree to your new terms (or close the window and end negotiations).

Is there a hot-key or somesuch to control the speed at which units are animated as they move around the screen?
I'm in the middle of a C3C game, and all of a sudden all the units are moving really fast around the screen. The Persians sneaked (snuck?) 50 odd riflemen into my territory in a fraction of a second and I missed it :-(
Even my own troops flash across the screen when normally I can see them walking.
I haven't changed any preferences that I know of - all the movement related ones are enabled.

It's an on/off thing. Press and hold the shift key to bypass the animations while it's depressed, or turn the capslock key on to keep bypassing them.

Caps Lock also explains why I couldn't log on to CivFanatics from that PC!
This will be handy going forward though - I generally like to see what's going on, but sometimes I do want to speed things up.

I've run into the 1 tile Mountain Island Iron problem. Thankfully the island is only 1 tile out from a settlable continental tile. If I road the island can I still get the iron? Or is it permanently out of reach? At least the city will pull the iron within it's culture border and keep it away from other civs but it's the only source of iron on or near my continent.

It's permanantly out of reach. Putting a road on it may flag it for disappearance in the hopes it reappears someplace useful.

I have a question about downloading the C3 patch ver 1.29 1) is it worth it and 2) after i get done downloading it it says "are you sure you wish to terminate the selected application and all realted files?" or somethin like that, what does that mean and what should i do? Thx in advance

The 1.29 patch is for the original (usually called vanilla) Civ. The patch for Conquests is 1.22. And yes, you want it. There are serious bugs it fixes (the forbidden palace sometimes increasing corruption comes to mind).
