:hmm: Just don't use the "Goto" order...

I don't need to use the "goto" order for it to automatically center on active units.

And the go to order is the only way you can keep track of where something is suppose to go sometimes. Much prefered the way alpha centuri did it. Next unit just put the next unit in focus, it didn't actually move till you hit the move button. And I believe you could set it to not automatically center on active units as well.

Also its frusterating that civ 3 doesn't have a move group option.

What's the problem with centring on active units anyway? You can still move around the map with the mouse/keys no problem...?

And civ3 has a move group thing doesn't it? (The stack option isn't it?)

J moves an entire stack, CTRL+J moves only the selected unit type in a stack.(e.g. if you have a Spearman selected, CTRL+J will move only all the Spearmen in the stack)

Yeah, knew it was something like that. :)

So what's this about "no move group option" then?

J & ctrl J huh? I'll try that thanks. Well I'd have works i'd want to move from one part of the screen to work on another area and I had to keep removing the screen every time a worker came up to order it to the location I wanted. I used the minimap to readjust each time but it was still a hastle, time consuming frusteration.

Likewise if you wanted to order alot of army units to attack a city being able to have the screen focus not move ever time a unit came up would be nice.

If it is the AIs turn, there is no way to adjust sliders. You need to wait until it is your turn again.

j & ctrl j are the same as the buttons above the info box for 'move all units' & 'move all units of type selected'.

Is there a way to change sliders at the beginning of a turn? Like when diplomatic screen pops up and they want to cancel a lux res trade. I want to be able to go in and pump up lux before the turn starts so my cities don't all riot. Is there any way to do so?

Yes, there is. Click (or double click - I forget which one) on the advisor's head during the negotiations (the one above your side of the diplomacy screen, where it gives info about the other civ). This will take you to the F# screens, and you can navigate to F1, go to one city, fix it, and scroll forward fixing your cities.

This may have been answered somewhere before but I sure can't find it.

I play Sword of Sengoku and love it, yet it only allows me to play 8 Kingdoms (I am not playing the MP version by the way). If I edit the scenario and get it so the other 10 kingdoms are playable, if I select one of them the game crashes. Any ideas what is wrong here? Is there a fix?

Thanks,
John

Probably best to ask that in the Creation and Customization subforum. Might want to post your .biq too.

Don't worry, I found it out recently in a SG. It seems some people have known about it for a while, but thought it was common knowledge so it was never really 'shared'. It is very helpful, especially if someone demands all your cash and you are running negative gpt.

SG AFAIR is Succession Game ... 1 player has a number of turns and then e-mails to the next player ...

@Ginger Ale ... thanks for the sharing the method to get to F-screens from turn start diplo messages ... never knew this and was always frustrated ... :)

An SG is a succession game, where a team of usually 4-6 people play about 10 turns at a time.

Here's the current SGOTM threads. It's a great way to learn.

Edit: D'oh. Crosspost.

Where can I find the popheads icons for C3C?
The custom ones I mean that have the coloured icons in the corners.

Cheers!

sorry if this as already been asked but i can't find anything in the game about this but seen it talked about on this site i just want to know what it means and how to use it.

A blitz unit is a unit with multiple moves, but can attack more than once in a turn, thus using all their moves on attack if you wanted.

Examples: Cossacks, Armies(with anything in them), Tanks, Panzers, Modern Armor, possibly something else I may have forgotten.
