That depends on how many planes you have.

if your city production is speeded up, like it doesn't take as many turns to build a worker or settler as before, will the turns for the terrain actions such as clearing wetland for the workers reduce?

I need some help on launching the spaceship

Before I was able to complete all parts of the spaceship, each time when I finish one part, a window of an imcomplete spaceship shows up. But after I complete the entire spaceship, the window with the spaceship and the launch button no longer show up anymore. I tried clicking on the little button of spaceship progress on the lower right corner of the screen but that wouldn't respond either. Is the spaceship launched? I cannot be sure because before I even start on the spaceship, I could see every single square of the entire world on my map. How can I tell if I have my satellite up there?

Thanz a lot

In Conquest the Spaceship launches automatically when finished. After it launches you win and it gives you the time it took you to do it and all the other stuff.

Have you already won via another condition or have you played beyond the 'end', 2050 AD?

i am actually over the year of 2050

In that case you have played beyond the end of the game. It was won either at the year 2050 or you or another civ (if any) has already won.

lol

but you can still continue after you either won or lost right?

btw are future techs really helpful? when will the investigating of future tech end. (i am quite sure that i am in the year of around 3500 and i am working on future tech no. 78)

They add to your score, but not very much. It would be better just to set your research to 0 and rake in the gold.

The year 3500 and on future tech 78? I must be drunk or you must be to play that long.

'Bout as helpful and interesting as watching paint dry!

If I wasn't so pro-Firaxis, I'd say Future Techs are a "Bug".....all they do is make you think you're gonna get some goodies at some point........and you get zip.......even the score bonus is miniscule!! ;)

I heard other people talking about making sacrifices and winning by cultural. Since I am playing American, I never made a sacrifice before (other than Disbanding units to get shields back which I don't consider a sacrifice). But still can anyone tell me what are the secrets behind this bloody and terrible practice...

Excuse me for one more question:

Does the civ played by AI have the same length for each turn as my civ? E.g. say i need to move over 6 workers around and assign them jobs and that took me over 2 minutes to complete, while AI only need to move 1 worker and that will nooly take 15 seconds. Will the AI wait for me to finish my turn and then they move on to the next turn, or will the AI just move on whenever he is done, regardless of when my turn will end.

Thanz a lot people

It's a turn based game. When you take your turn, the AI isn't moving. It waits until your turn is over then each AI takes its turn in order, one at a time.

You might want to make sure you have 'Always wait at end of turn' in the preferences checked.

This is a nice bunch of people for questions. If they were not, they would have thrown this Grandma out of the site a long time ago.

Then what is the difference between checking and unchecking the 'Always wait at end of turn' option? I played with that option off for so long and I still have to wait for a moment in the ends of my turns.

The game pauses at the end of your turn to give you a chance to double check that you have done all you wanted or needed to do. You then click the info box or hit the spacebar to end your turn. It makes it feel more turn based.
