I hope these are clear enough to see all three of them.

You can reall see them on the espionage page.

Interesting....can you attach the .biq? What all did you change in it?

I eliminated six of the civs because I get tired of the same ones over and over again, but left about 20+ and I changed the presidents name and I think the only other thing was when I started I only chose space shot and conquest as how to win.

Leave it to me to really do something weird.

I have found one thing.....the game with three Aztec civs is impossible to play because it is impossible to tell one from the other; therefore is asking for help from other civs is out the window.

You should be able to tell them apart by the color of the ring around their portrait on the F4 screen. As for the espionage screen, I have no idea either. :p

If you want to take civs out, open the editor. Turn on Custom Rules ("Scenario -> Custom Rules") and then select Scenario Properties, from the same menu. Hold down the Ctrl key, and de-select the civs you don't want in it.

If you contact the leaders by right-clicking a unit belonging to them, you can tell which is which as well. ;)

Thanks,
it is a bit confusing even when you get who is who straight. Of course, confusion is par for the course with me.

I play Civ 3 since its release in 2001 but only now I intend to play a longer game, with more turns. I set the game to last 1000 turns in the "game limits" menu, then I start the game but see that it is still scheduled to end after 540 turns.

Anyway to make the game last more turns?

You can keep playing after the game "ends". The only difference is that it doesn't record your score. In the editor, try making the turns have less intervals. (i.e., if it's 40 years, make it 20, if it's 20 years, make it 10, etc.).

Hi everyone, new poster here. Wish I had used these forums a bit earlier as it would have saved me a lot of time and effort.
Just a quick question that I'm sure has been answered elsewhere but its a bit intimidating trying to find which topic and where the correct answer would be.
Basically, when you have captured an enemy worker unit, they seem to work at a much leisurely pace than my own created workers. Is there any way to get them up to the pace of my own workers? Have tried basing them in citys to see if any other options are available but there seem to be none.
Thanks in advance

No, slave workers work at half-speed. There's nothing you can do about it. But that's the bad news. The good news is that they're free, and require no upkeep from you, like your workers do. So just double them up, and you'll be fine.

If you're industrious and you're not in anarchy and haven't researched replaceable parts (not 100% sure on the first one), slaves will only work 1/3 as fast as your native workers (ie slaves are not industrious until replaceable parts).

@LeonMcS: Welcome to CFC. :band: [party]

Following on from what Tim & Turner have said, once you've discovered Replaceable Parts and switched to Democracy government, your Slaves will work twice as fast! ;)

Tip: You will generally get Quick & Comprehensive answers to ANY Civ question on the Quick Answers thread.......Very Active thread! ;)

I've noticed that whenever i pick 7 random computer players as my opponents on a standard map, or at least 95% of the times, it ends up being 6 european civs and one non-european, and the english is ALWAYS one of them.

Is this like a well-known problem?

It simply can't be a coincidence, i just started several of these games in a row to test this and every single one turned up with 6 european opponents and one other.

Yeah looks like it is, i'll have to start playing with that turned off.

Thank you.

How come they haven't fixed that yet, by the way?
It can't be hard to correct.

Edit: By the way, i realize this same question has probably been answered at least ten times before in this thread, so sorry about that, but there's no way i can search through the whole thing.
