C3C PBEM : Arcole - Napoleonic scenario-based PBEM

Next turn sent to London. May be Prussia will be able to capture a city but part of the invasion force has been neutralized and troop flow between Vejle and Copenhagen restored.

Would not it be nice to have a battle log? The French nation likes to know its heroes. Besides, it is good to keep track of how many French units were lost and which of yours were promoted if any.

Ok. In other games I don't sent all that detail. I'll try to do better next time. :)

I defeated all your troops in the city, plus two units that were outside. I dont remember having any promotions, but I'm not sure. I used 6 Cuirassiers and around 11 fussilier, 5/6 cannons.

News from the palace is that the residents of the cities of Sulina and Chisinau (currently claimed by the Ottomans) are unhappy with their infidel leaders and wish to join the Christian brigades outside the cities. There are widespread reports of fires and rioting inside the city.

In other news...some brave Cossack soldiers cut the supply lines from Bucharest but lost their lives in the process as they were ruthlessly cut down by the evil Sipahi of the evil Ottoman Empire. Not to fear: our infantry have avenged the deaths of those brave Cossacks and were promoted for their efforts. :goodjob:

Turn played and sent to London. Redcoats are running away from under the walls of Florence and at full speed, so even the glorious Imperial Cavalry cannot catch them.

Yeah at least they are running over the corpses of French Imperial Guards smashing their skulls on their way. :p

News from the Palace:

Well...we knew it could not last long...
Vlad the mad was taking one of his ash baths when, Tsar Rcoutme II's oldest brother came along and decided that enough was enough. He found a statue, used it as a convenient club and Vlad's reign ended. Since Mikhail knew that his Tsar brother would not be pleased, he used the statue on him also and then called a family meeting.

The family...noting the excellent use of the statue (all 6 girls had been promised to priests, none of whom were younger than 82) unanimously agreed that Mikhail should become Tsar Rcoutme III.

So now...1804 will see the corronation of Tsar Rcoutme III and a Christmas to be remembered and celebrated by all loyal Russians. The MPP with Austria still holds.

The latest Russian Upheaval may have something to do with extensive losses in Turkey. The current kill ratio for the war is Ottomans lost 4 units, Russia 16, plus 2 cannon.
The Austrians have invaded in a pathetic attempt to garner more territory, but the will be exterminated with exteme prejudice.

On the first day of christmas my neibour gave to me...

A dead cossack hanging from a tree...

News from the palace is that Gustav of the Swedes was offered Oslo by Emperor Akots of the French. The Prussians declared war because they always wanted Oslo as a ski resort and place to hang out in the winter. Since Mikhail Rcoutme, aka Tsar Rcoutme III, and Gustav of the Swedes were childhood buddies, the Tsar was not pleased! He immediately signed a mutual protection pact and alliance with Sweden...again...although not a Right of Passage due to his father's treachery.

The Cossacks charged into Prussian territory and captured Konigsberg and Danzig. Tsar Rcoutme III was heard wandering through the palace shouting, to no one in particular, "If you try anything further, I will sail up your rivers and sack your castles! I will let my vikings rape your women and enslave your children! Long live Odin...Aaarrrrggghhhh!!!"

For those loyal Russians who might fear that the Tsar might be becoming unglued, the royal family assures us that he is definately the best candidate left in the family tree for the job.

That looks peculiar to the civilized French. At least somebody else is getting hammered which is a sort of consolation. Turn sent to London.

March has come around and love is in the air in St. Petersburg. News from the palace is that Margueritte and Christianne have both become betrothed and will be wed in June. Tsar Rcoutme III has promised that the wedding invitations will be sent out to all the leaders regardless of states of war. Margueritte is betrothed to the Baron of Sevastopol, a handsome young man in his mid-twenties. Christianne has chosen a suitor from Danzig, a Polish Nobleman whose credentials are currently under investigation. The Tsar insists that the credentials must check out before the wedding can take place. Both weddings are to be held in the Cathedral of The Savior on the Spilt Blood Church.

July 1804: St. Petersburg, Russia

Well...the weddings went off without a hitch and so two of the Rcoutme girls are now married. There are three eligible maidens left and the Tsar, their brother, is actively seeking alliances since the British have now attacked near Danzig. Any and all offers are welcome and will be seriously considered, the three left are Annick, Marina, and the lovely Vanya.
